Seniors wishing the glovebox had a physical button to open

Other than TV Remotes and Mobile Phones with big buttons, I never considered seniors would prefer real vs virtual buttons. And I'm both a senior and a designer. My first reaction to the Model 3's consolidation of controls was, this better be well done and logical. I find it more than...

Will Tesla be able to deliver FSD with HW3.0 and current Model 3 sensor suite, ever?

My first drive with start/stop enabled came to a jerk-stop at almost every stop sign. Someone suggested a computer reboot, which I did and the second drive had smoother stops. When a confusing situation was encountered, like one stop light closely followed by a second, to a stop light following...

Will Tesla be able to deliver FSD with HW3.0 and current Model 3 sensor suite, ever?

With so many opinions I'm looking forward to seeing who's right:) I'm betting on 144 (TOPS)

Will Tesla be able to deliver FSD with HW3.0 and current Model 3 sensor suite, ever?

FYI - Since activating Start/Stop, every drive I take concludes with 6+ Gigabytes of data being uploaded upon arrival at home. Seems like this is the data aggregation we've been anticipating for the next phase of FSD.

    Anyone regret white interior?

I've had good results by coating the white interior with Ultima Interior Guard Plus. Any marks or stains have been easily removed with McKee's 37 Total Interior Cleaner. Probably best if applied when the interior is new.

V3 Supercharging Profiles for Model 3

Captured with an iPhone at 4K attached to a suction mount suspended from the glass roof. The mount is an old one from a job I did about 20 years ago, It's from the Cullmann brand but no longer made. Hard to find something versatile, not too expensive and that's very stable.

V3 Supercharging Profiles for Model 3

I did use the freeway for about 20 miles, then stopped for a minute and navigated to the Fremont Supercharger from about 12 miles away. Which I assumed would have triggered ORBW, but I have never gotten the message. I'm not sure what additional conditions need to be met for battery warmup to be...

Got A Ticket From Chp For Not Having Hov Stickers

I have seen one other non-stickered new Tesla getting an HOV ticket. My first though was, with so many gas car violators using the HOV lane, why bother to pick out a vehicle that does qualify, but hasn't yet received or applied the stickers? I'm a proponent of strict enforcement, but EV's would...

    Yeah, I Bought A Digital License Plate.....sigh.....

FYI - The Digital Plate is only legal as a rear plate in California. A non-digital front plate is also required.

    Battery damaged

There was a post in the Facebook "Tesla Model 3" group from someone who had a piece of wood impale the underside of his car. There was fluid leakage but it was diagnosed as a punctured hose and repair was $700. I mention this because it shows how undercarriage damage is very unpredictable. BTW...

    Supercharger V3 unveiling in Fremont

I had charging set to end at 60%, but after spending about 10 minutes cleaning the car I noticed it was showing 5 minutes remaining, so I raised the limit to 80%. I wasn't watching closely but the last 5% was the slowest charging at about 85 kW. Other cars charging while I was there were S &...

    Supercharger V3 unveiling in Fremont

I was at the Fremont Superchargers V3 this morning in my Model 3 LR RWD (2019.20.1). I was at 19% and charged to 80%. Added 49 kWh in 27 minutes. This will be a game changer.

    Rejected delivery

Thanks for sharing, that is disappointing but I agree with your evaluation. The flaws you listed are just bad enough to be concerned with trusting they would be acceptably fixed. I can relate because you're experience is exactly what I was expecting when my Model 3 was delivered, but I was...

Some Tesla hate on the highway...

Coming from 6 years commuting is a smart fortwo, followed by 5 years in a Prius Plug-in. The level of EV hate I'm experiencing in the Tesla Model 3 is minuscule. Bring it on, I've seen almost everything.

BMW I3 and Chevy Bolt versus the M3

I thought I would miss the i3's regen braking to full stop, but the change was easy to make. Tesla's method of brake "auto-holding" whenever stopped is one of my favorite features. It makes so much sense not to hold the brake while waiting to resume moving.

BMW I3 and Chevy Bolt versus the M3

My experience going from i3 to Model 3 mirrors yours. Range is king. I do prefer the Model 3's audio quality over the i3's Harmon Kardon.

Got my first flat tire...now Tesla charging me for fixing it. Is this normal ?

While I haven't used it on a tire with sound absorption glued inside, I'm assuming the plug would follow the path of the puncture and seal the hole. Probably best to followup with a professional patch from the inside.

Got my first flat tire...now Tesla charging me for fixing it. Is this normal ?

Bob - I used that kit to fix flats on the last few cars I owned prior to the Model 3. It works reliably and is fairly quick. I did add a quality pair of pliers to the kit which helps when pulling the plug taught after insertion.

    Car Washing Redux

Blackfire Waterless wash comes in a concentrate which dispenses a preset amount into their pressurized sprayer. Add 32 oz of water, pump the plunger a few times to add pressure and spray and wipe. I use this for quick wipe-downs while traveling or between full washes.
