Why is the auto parking so bad? 8 Years later.

I want this perfected also. We all do. It’s new tech, that is difficult, and takes time, talent, and money. The intimation being that it's beyond Tesla's abilities?

Future of FSD after "traffic light & stop sign response" release

M3 HW3 2020.24.6.4 On my 4-lane non-divided highway commute, I have a couple of blinking yellow lights at intersections with occasional cross traffic. Navigate on Autopilot instructs my car, going 70 mph, to stop completely in about 200 yards at the flashing yellow lights, regardless of...

QC Issues -- Leaking roof/rear hinge seal

A bit off topic, but maybe of help to you with new M3/MYs with or without water infiltration problems. I have a M3. Here's some advice: NEVER open the driver's door while the windshield wipers are on. They will direct a bucket of water directly to the inside panel of your opened door, which...

Will Tesla be able to deliver FSD with HW3.0 and current Model 3 sensor suite, ever?

When the sun comes out, sometimes fog forms on the glass in front of the lens (Model X side-pillars) and the camera goes off line. You can't wipe that off, you just have to wait. Yes, my experience also. In hot, dry Texas!

Will Tesla be able to deliver FSD with HW3.0 and current Model 3 sensor suite, ever?

I do think you're right. Cause it's quite dramatic and disturbs passengers. This is so serious I would think the forums would be ranting about it. So, it's just my Tesla. Just my luck!

Will Tesla be able to deliver FSD with HW3.0 and current Model 3 sensor suite, ever?

Yes, in the last couple of weeks with stoplight recognition, when my 3 comes to a red light, it stops with several jerks. Not smooth at all. Btw-- It doesn't respond to Stop signs at all. So, you think it's because of the way I talk to my (seriously under-achieving) car?

Will Tesla be able to deliver FSD with HW3.0 and current Model 3 sensor suite, ever?

Is Tesla really WAITING for legislation!!! The product should be SO good and SO advanced that Tesla should DRIVE the legislation. NOT the other way around. I'm not falling for the "waiting for legislation" excuse for Tesla failing (badly and repeatedly) to perform. Class action lawsuit for...

Will Tesla be able to deliver FSD with HW3.0 and current Model 3 sensor suite, ever?

"I mean - Ok, stop signs. Great. In 5 years development timeline? How long it will be before Tesla releases unprotected left turns on intersections? Another 5 years? Bottom line - my prediction is Tesla will never be able to release FSD, even in USA, on HW3.0 and current sensor suite. Now I...

Solid AP Improvements on v10 - Initial Impressions

"It handles sharp road curves better with better path prediction. It’s always been fairly good at this, but it’s better now. I have a couple ”problem corners” I test this with, and the improvement with v10 is night and day. It perfectly saw these corners, slowed down ahead of time, and executed...

Things my wife said about Navigate on Autopilot tonight

Sometimes I get so frustrated at my M3, I threaten to pay someone to take it from me! To all the problems mentioned here, I'd add that the auto left lane change works only about 1 in 4 attempts, often initiating the lane change and aborting mid-way through. Except for long straight stretches...

Left Auto Lane Change Unavailable On Some Roads

Hallelujah! The new update fixed it! Mostly, anyway. Unlike the very consistent right auto lane change, the revived left lane change is a bit timid, needing some urging, but it's working more times than not. Thanks, Tesla! And keep up the good work!

Left Auto Lane Change Unavailable On Some Roads

As others note, Left Auto Lane Change worked fine and then it didn't-- and hasn't. I asked for service for this problem, which was scheduled for today. Last Friday I received the following from Tesla Mobile Service: Hello, This is Robert with the Tesla Mid-South Service diagnostic team. I've...

Poll on Model 3 Air Vents

The 3's air conditioner's Dog Mode is genius. We use it all the time. My dog's bed is in the back seat, with access to her "den"-- the trunk-- when we're parked (usually charging!). However, every time we get in, I have to remember to turn on the rear air vent for her. Wish it were an option...

Left Auto Lane Change Unavailable On Some Roads

Tesla Mobile is scheduled to come look at the left auto lane change failure next week. The problem seems to be a software problem, but I've only found two (nickID and me) with the problem, so now I think think it must be a sensor failure. I'll post after Tesla makes its evaluation.

Left Auto Lane Change Unavailable On Some Roads

Yes, this problem arose about a week ago, exactly as you describe. I reported the bug, and received an update, thinking that there was a fix. Apparently, the update had nothing to do with the left auto lane change. I wondered, too, if it was a sensor problem and how I should proceed with...
