    Maps Issue

Just an update to mention that Tesla did remotely fix my data/maps issue. It’s now been working fine for a week and everything is now working perfectly. Took a few months to get to this point, which is far from ideal, but am happy that I have maps and traffic etc back.

    Maps Issue

I’ve been having this issue for months (I have posted in the other threads). Happens every day when I get in the car, even with wifi enabled. Only way to mitigate is to reset the MCU and then the maps will work for the day, or until the car goes into a deep sleep. Have raised a couple of...

    Spotify/tunein/maps/navigation

Unfortunately I’m on 2023.12.9.1 and am still having this issue. It’s driving me nuts! The missing map squares when zoomed in have made the satnav effectively useless now. Every journey I just get the blue nav line on a black background. Opened a SR and they just fobbed me off and said they...

Short press vs long press of "Park"

When I long press my parking brake I hear a loud click/clonk. What is this? I initially thought it was a pawl engaging in the gearbox, like other cars as discussed but I’m pretty sure our gearboxes don’t have this feature. I guess it’s some kind of additional solenoid lock in the brake calliper...

Who wins in a fight between M3P and new MS LR?

I do wonder if the M3P (and other 3’s) have a performance upgrade in the works. The performance 3 would typically be faster than the base S, plus the new BMW M3/M4 is here (great car too, shame about the grill). Elon made a big thing about the older BMW M3 being a benchmark way back when and...

Model 3 Performance: time for Ludicrous?

They just need to raise the 650nm torque cap between 0-50mph ish (see Canbus captures on Reddit from user wugz). That would help a lot with the initial pull/punch that many say is lacking. No idea if the cap exists to protect the drive train, protect Model S sales or for some other reason. If...

    Phone call echo

I got a call yesterday while in my car and the caller told me that they could hear their voice echo. I then lowered the volume during the call and the echo then went away. iPhone X placed in the dock.

Okay Tesla it’s time to show the Performance trim some love.

The P could definitely use a launch mode or at least just battery warming to get the max discharge from the battery perhaps. This could make a nice difference. The highest max discharge I’ve seen from my battery via the canbus data is 441kw at 42 degrees Celsius. It took a bunch of launches and...

    2020 Model 3 and differences from 2019

would be great if Tesla offered a retrofit package.

MASTER THREAD: 2019.36.1 update released with 5% power increase

It was around 400kw previously I believe. 427kw is the battery discharge power, not power at the wheels. Someone would need to dyno the car. I am just confirming an approx 5% increase in output power before losses, plus providing a bunch of additional nerd stats :)

MASTER THREAD: 2019.36.1 update released with 5% power increase

Oh it’s a Model 3 Performance, built in August 2019. 427kw max battery discharge.

MASTER THREAD: 2019.36.1 update released with 5% power increase

Warmed up my battery by supercharging for 20 mins and pulled this from the canbus.

    EO Mini Charger Scheduled?

Yup agreed. I will do just that.

    EO Mini Charger Scheduled?

Thanks for posting this. I am having exactly the same issue. Hopefully Tesla will eventually add proper start and stop scheduling to the car at some stage.

    P3D+ Sheet metal pop sound

Tesla Bjorne on YouTube did a bunch of videos on the charging thunk. I think his car used to stop charging on the sound when using a non Tesla hyper charger. I can’t find the video at the moment though.

    Badging

Interesting, thanks for the info, and congratulations :) I don’t supposed you noticed the badging on the other cars when you were picking it up? ;)

    Badging

Yup looks like this. The new long range raven Model S tested in the motor trend video had the dual motor badging.

Do new Model S come with battery label?

The car has not been delivered yet, so I don’t know for sure, but it has the option code X028, which is “Battery Badge”. I guess that option could mean just “badge” now..

Do new Model S come with battery label?

The new long range (Raven) MS in the recent MotorTrend test drive video had a Dual Motor badge, so it looks like there is a change coming. However my car (just completed production stage) looks to have the new Raven drivetrain but still has the battery badge option code. I guess there are a lot...

Anyone recived the new Model S option codes? (for example DU03)

I extracted my codes above using Tesla Options Decoder No idea if this is the best tool to use. All the newer interesting codes are at the bottom.
