I actually did just receive my T Mobile SIM card and I just activated it and I'm up and running. No surprise but my phone now connects to my car over LTE using the Tesla app again just like before. So definitely proves it's an AT&T problem.

App still broken for me as well so still using the VPN. My new SIM card for T Mobile is supposed to finally arrive tomorrow after like a week (really slow default shipping). I'll report back after I get it set up and number moved but I'm expecting that to resolve my issues.

I've decided to switch to T-Mobile. I will actually save money on the plan anyways and the features seem better. Plus they have good 5G coverage for when I get my next phone. I just ordered my SIM card.

I tried contacting Tesla on the phone and it was useless. They gave me basic troubleshooting steps which I had already done and then said they couldn't do anything and to set up a service appointment and they had no way to forward the issue up the chain. I guess someone from the service...

Yeah I did the same, I just googled for decent free VPNs and I found HotspotShield. The free access caps the speed and download amount per day but that is fine as I just need it occasionally to connect my app and check status or precondition my car, etc. If this becomes more long term then I...

Quick tip, for now I got around this by using a VPN on my phone. You can set up your phone to use one of the many VPN services out there (some are free) or set up a home VPN and connect to that. Once I connect to the VPN the app works perfectly over LTE. Hopefully this is only needed as a short...

Exact same problem here. I first noticed the issue in the afternoon on July 14th and I've tried everything from rebooting the car, phone, reinstalling the app, etc and still can't get LTE to work reliably. (it will rarely work but 95% of the time doesn't). I have an Iphone X and AT&T.

I had to give them all my info. I didn’t remember the date they told me it was May 14th when they got it. I gave them my title number and registration info so they could look everything up.
