"Breaking Bad" - Daily articles now hitting the news wires

It's a lot easier to try and say "the car did it" and try and get something out of it than to take fault. Many people don't want to tell their spouses or insurance of it. The very existing of a self drive feature leaves it open to so many to blame someone other than themselves, which is...

    Autopilot getting worse

I've noticed it braking more on highways as well. I also have seen an increase in issues changing lanes, where it requests a lane change, I signal, it gets halfway into the lane, then brakes hard and returns to the original lane. There are no other cars impacting it, but it seems to have some...

How honest are you about Tesla issues when speaking to friends/family that want to buy a Tesla?

I find the experience to me really not different from regular car owning experience, minus the potential delivery issues that have occured. Services for the auto industry are always a challenge, whether it be price or how long it takes to do maintenance tasks. These can be exaggerated in the...

Is FSD really worth the money?

I'm in Chicago and I use FSD heavily while in traffic and find it hugely beneficial. But it just seems you're a more aggressive driver than what FSD is, at least from what I'm reading. And that's going to happen, and if you are that type maybe FSD isn't for you. Remember that these cars are...

TeslaFi or Not? That is the Question

I like TeslaFI because it helps me prep for everything. This being my first EV, it will help me understand costs of my drives, of charging, etc. I don't know if this will be a permanent thing, but for the first year it seems to be a really logical way for me to understand all of my habits.

What did you name your Tesla?

I named it White Privilege...the name definitely grabs a few snickers

    Garage Wifi

Wi-fi in near your garage is important. WIth how the cost has declined recently, I would seriously look at the mesh routers out there. I use Eero here, but Google's offering is solid. And a lot of others do it, too. It's better than range extenders and would highly recommend it when it's time.

Are we all gluttons for punishment?

The support post sale has been pretty lacking. I bought through a referral code. 3 weeks later I still don't have my supercharging miles. Support sends me to referrals, referrals never responds and gives no ticket to track. If this is what that experience is like, I can only imagine what...

New Build Date (January 2019+) Owners - Quality Impressions? Positives?

I had an April 2019 build. I've found no actual issues at all as far as gaps or panel alignment issues.

    Model 3 insurance

I'm glad I found this thread. My Allstate rep is attempting to charge me $750 every 6 months for the car, which is $300 more than my Acura. Doing this under the guise of "Limited repair centers" and giving me more value for my car in case of an accident. Needless to say it's time to shop...

LR AWD owners or awaiting delivery, what tipped you towards your choice?

After driving in a non AWD version, I felt a different in the way it gripped the road (and yes, obviously tires can make a difference). That and the longer range, which gives me more options for work related trips, made all the difference.
