MASTER THREAD: 2019.40.2 - FSD AutoSteer Stop Sign Warning and Adjacent Lane Speeds

For those that haven't experienced ping-ponging in lanes yet : try the far left/right lanes where the divider/wall is close on either side. Or look what the car is doing while overtaking a semi on either side. For me its obvious on left HOV lane where divider wall is very close on the left side...

MASTER THREAD: 2019.40.2 - FSD AutoSteer Stop Sign Warning and Adjacent Lane Speeds

I tried autosteer on a residential street with 20 speed and it clearly displayed a red stop sign under the speedometer and started beeping until I hit the brakes. I have HW 2.5 too.

MASTER THREAD: 2019.40.2 - FSD AutoSteer Stop Sign Warning and Adjacent Lane Speeds

Constant subtle but noticeable corrections left and right between the lane. It used to drive dead center straight in the middle of the lane, now it constantly swerves left and right and if you hold the wheel just tight enough you feel the constant corrections in both ways. I suspect this is...

MASTER THREAD: 2019.40.2 - FSD AutoSteer Stop Sign Warning and Adjacent Lane Speeds

40.2.1 definitely noticed ping-pong on autosteer especially on HOV lane with divider close on the left side, even wife noticed it in the passenger seat. SR+ hw 2.5, delivered 3/30/2019.

Want to absolutely confirm: I can charge off a dryer plug?

Thanks for the tips! Will limit to 24 amps in car. I only charge during the night (schedule midnight start) so accidents should not happen.

    Owner reviews his new M3P:

For me nothing comes close to geico having good driving record, two cars multi policy and a condo policy. Those multi policy discounts add up.

Basic question ... about to get Model 3 and have no place yet to charge it.

Ditto. Run an extension cable from dryer socket and get the adapter like Michael couple of post posts above suggested.

    New owner - charging question

Isn't gen2 mobile charger rated 32A max anyway? Why want to go above 32A?

Want to absolutely confirm: I can charge off a dryer plug?

In short yes. I bought a 14-30 splitter and 14-30 to 14-50 adapter and hooked the dryer and tesla charger via splitter into the same socket. Works great and I never use them both at the same time anyway. EDIT links if interested which: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DB44VPQ...

MASTER THREAD: USB drives that work with Sentry and TeslaCam

I have this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D7PDLXC Samsung MUF-128AB/AM FIT Plus 128GB - 300MB/s USB 3.1 Flash Drive Nevertheless I solved it with that nvme adapter and unused nvme drive I had.

MASTER THREAD: USB drives that work with Sentry and TeslaCam

That was meant as a ballpark figure, tested on PC before plugging into the tesla. I have one of those samsung usb 3.1 128GB flash drives mentioned in the thread and as soon as 25-30GB are written on it, it started to get the error. Before that, yes it gets ~30MB/s sustained writes.

MASTER THREAD: USB drives that work with Sentry and TeslaCam

Long time lurker here. I think I managed to solve my "drive too slow for dashcam, it needs 4 MB/s speed" issue. I had a good samsung usb 3.1 drive in there and as soon it filled up to like 25-30GB, I started to get that annoying failure. Then I remembered I have a samsung 970 evo nvme sitting...
