SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

I ordered a Model 3 SR+ for $39,990 + $1,000 Midnight Silver + $1,200 destination + $250 order fee back in September 2021, but kept the order on hold until December 2021. Since then, I've seen my EDD go from May to July to September to November to now "TBD" for the past two months. I'm worried...

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

EDD still says "TBD" and to check back again soon. It's been over a month in TBD; car was released off hold in December 2021. Hope I get an EDD again in the new quarter.

Anyone have their EDD pushed out to "TBD"?

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

I ordered my RWD in December 2021 and it keeps getting pushed back. Had estimates of May, June, and now... "Estimated Delivery: July 24 - September 04". On the Tesla site, the same car if ordered today has Est. Delivery: Aug - Oct 2022, so not sure where the past four months went. I wonder if...

Am I crazy for wanting to go from MY to M3?

To each their own. When I drove a Model Y, I found it missing the magic and pizzazz of the Model 3's handling. The extra 400 lbs of weight and higher center of gravity greatly dulls a car's dynamics, even if they are built on the same platform.

Aftermarket yoke steering wheel in Model 3

I'd be worried about getting an insurance claim denied, or worse, being liable in a collision, due to this unauthorized modification to the car. Aftermarket yoke should be for off-road use only, not public roads IMO.

Am I crazy for wanting to go from MY to M3?

Do it. Model 3 is a lot more engaging and cohesive to drive than Model Y. The latter feels disjointed; the quick steering doesn't work with the higher ride height.

    Starting to regret my purchase

I had a similar bump-out on my car: Delivery issue? Protrusion / bump behind rear bumper cover I noticed it upon delivery; they said they would create a due bill for it. No due bill was created; service center couldn't help me. I went to a body shop for an estimate, and they quoted $4,000+ to...

JFF Poll - Model 3 Lease End Purchase

They’d rather take them back and resell as CPO with warranty and all options unlocked. Tesla wants to keep a tight grip on the secondary market as well. Selling the car to you at the residual value is a lost opportunity for additional revenue.

Returned car.. issues with refund anyone?

Has anyone actually gotten their money back after the refund? No one at Tesla returns phone calls or emails, except my OA, who says he can't help. This is maddening. I've never seen a business that just ignores you after a purchase. This isn't a question that can be answered by watching a video...

Returned car.. issues with refund anyone?

Here’s the dent the car had. Bumper looks like it’s growing a tumor. They completely stonewalled me when I asked for a due bill (despite them promising one during delivery), so I returned it, and now they’re ignoring my inquiries about the return. The first payment is due in a few weeks, and...

Model 3 New Pricing, up $400

Only 1.5 weeks so far. Did you finance through Tesla, and if so, have you started making payments yet?

Model 3 New Pricing, up $400

Ugh. Sorta annoying because I’m planning on re-ordering one once I got my money back for the Model 3 I returned due to defects/damage.

Returned car.. issues with refund anyone?

Curious as well. Decided to return my Model 3 today after not hearing back from Tesla regarding the defects and damage on the car. Without the assurances of a due bill (which was promised to me during delivery), there really wasn’t a choice. It’s been a nightmare trying to find a qualified human...

Delivery issue? Protrusion / bump behind rear bumper cover

No one is answering phones. Are we supposed to just show up and drop off the car? Hopefully they’ll provide a release of liability, documentation for loan termination, etc. I was excited to take delivery of the car, but so far this has been a frustrating experience.

Delivery issue? Protrusion / bump behind rear bumper cover

Any similar experiences? Likely going to return the car and re-order at this point. Tesla has been dead silent, and never created a due bill as promised (called service center to confirm).

Delivery issue? Protrusion / bump behind rear bumper cover

Anyone know what this could be? I took delivery on Saturday and saw that there was a bulge seemingly coming through the rear bumper. If you push against the bumper cover, there’s some give and flex, except over this bump, where it’s rock solid. I asked the delivery advisor to add it to a due...
