The meeting where it was changed from BS to SS happened before the non-performance car got the boost. Wouldn't be surprised if the SCCA has a dump knee jerk reaction to that as well.

Yep, probably right. I let my membership lapse this past year. I have more fun running with bmwcca. I do miss going to nationals, Lincoln is a lot of fun.
