It shouldn’t be possible to shut down mid-drive since the contractors are open (closed?) on the HV battery

Help! What does this mean??? (PIC)

Not sure how easy it would be to change them back to OEM. I wouldn't be too concerned about 12V drain, the DC-DC converter tops the 12V off when the voltage drops below a certain threshold. Many people have installed aftermarket dash cams and power frunk kits by tapping the 12V without any...

Help! What does this mean??? (PIC)

Well that link i posted says the kit comes with a bluetooth controller for the lights, but it also mentions a smartphone app. Looks like it's called "Oracle Colorshift pro". Try the app and see if it works. The page also says "For Dynamic ColorSHIFT App, use Protocol Setting: GRB-SK6812"...

Gull Wing Door is Closed but Car thinks its Open

Ha! maybe try this: Working from the front row, press and hold the B-Pillar rear door switch until the door fully cinches closed. Touch and hold the CALIBRATE button on the Model X touchscreen until the rear doors have been fully calibrated, close completely, and the message "CALIBRATION...

Gull Wing Door is Closed but Car thinks its Open

Holy cow how much did the gull wing door cost you?! I'm happy with my falcon wing doors... 😅 I would try a calibration. when you have the time, i would read the manual. most owners don't from what ive seen, but it can help when you run into situations like this. Calibration If the falcon...

19 inch wheels on refesh Tesla Model X?

Do you mean the Arachnid 21" wheels from the S? I'd be careful putting those on an X without verifying they can handle the weight safely, and that they have the proper offset. I would just get a set of the 20" Cyberstream wheels, I really like the way they look on the X. They're a huge...

    Ride height calibration

Hey posters! I came across this thread and was hoping I could get some feedback. My 21k mile 2019 MX Raven seems to be riding low on the back wheels. I keep the suspension in low at all times (in auto mode), and ive been noticing that when looking at the car from the outside, the front is...

    Front half shaft replacement instructions

Just so I understand, someone at the service center was just doing their job by enforcing a posted rule that you broke (even if they overstepped), and now you'll never buy a Tesla again?! 🤣🤣 I've had some frustratingly bad, but mostly great experiences when dealing with service. Some service...

Road trip from Oceanside, CA to Walnut Creek, CA

Check out the "A better route planner" (ABRP) app. its excellent at planning your stops, and syncs with the car in realtime to give better range/charge estimates. You can even select what charge level you'd like arrive at your destination with, which can be really helpful I only use it for...

How to protect new front half-shafts

This is incorrect. Use the “default to low” setting at all times. When they changed my half shafts on my MX Raven the SC handed me a piece of paper that said to always drive on low I have a performance model and can confirm that after many launches and plenty of spirited driving I’ve had no...

Legacy MX 2023.44.30.8 update - Additional AP nags?

Interesting about the increased torque required. Has anyone tried it with a wheel weight? I only use mine on road trips on empty stretches of road when it’s safe (to eliminate the bags)

Legacy MX 2023.44.30.8 update - Additional AP nags?

2019 MX Raven Ive been holding off on the update (still on 2023.44.1) due to the NTSB required nag increase I haven’t come across any reviews specifically about standard AP working any different for the legacy cars Can anyone confirm a difference in nags/operation? TIA

Original 22" Turbine Wheels on a 2023 MX

I assume you did your research but those wheels kill your range by a significant margin. If you go on road trips expect your usable range to be around 65% of the rated. My 2019 MX Raven came with those wheels and I decided to swap them out for the new 20" cyberstreams due to the range hit.

Rubber Molding On Falcon Door - Warranty

I do see that now in the product description. I don’t remember seeing it when I was first doing research but it would make sense to have UV protectant. Seems to work fine. It does leave a tacky residue behind that likes to collect dirt/dust (especially on exposed rubber) so I usually give it...

2019 MX 6 seater - Rear AC not nearly as cold as front when set to auto?

I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same experience, just want to confirm if it's normal. When I have the front and rear set to Auto and set the temp to 68deg for example, the rear air comes out much warmer. I can remedy this by setting the rear temp manually to 60, and only then will...

Swapping 22” onyx black wheels with 20” wheels?

I agree 100% that the 22” wheels look like they fit the car better and distinguish it from a minivan. But now that I’ve had the 20” Cyberstreams for a few months I can say that’s it’s a worth the change. I can punch it anytime and still average around 85%. With the 22s I was lucky to average...

Swapping 22” onyx black wheels with 20” wheels?

I completely agree! But getting 60% of the rated range on the highway is brutal. That was the nail in the coffin and convinced me to make the switch, especially since the new Cyberstream wheels look 1000% better than the old Slipstreams IMO. The better ride quality and tires that last 2x as...

Swapping 22” onyx black wheels with 20” wheels?

That previous post is wrong. Switching will make a big impact on range and efficiency My 2019 MXP Raven came with the 22" Onyx. I was averaging 430+ wh/mi and it was killing my range. It's even worse on the highway and definitely kills 20-30% of your (rated) range. I found a wheel shop...

    2018 X vs 2020 X

    2018 X vs 2020 X

1 Pedal driving aside, it's really the other upgrades that make the Raven models more desirable. More efficient motors that are more powerful and give you longer range. Newer battery tech with Faster 225kW Supercharging. Adaptive suspension that makes a big difference in ride quality. And...

Ford will add NACS to next gen EVs!

Can’t tell if this is satire. I’m not looking forward to them opening up the network since that means longer wait times and more chances of ford owners parking in those spaces and not even charging just so they can “ICE” out Tesla owners. And yes I know what ICEing stands for, but I’m sure there...

extra touchscreens for model x legacy?

I would love a decent rear screen option as well, but it makes sense why there are 3rd party options for the 3/Y even though the X has been around longer. More than 10x the number of 3/Ys have been produced compared to the X. There is much higher profit potential to make accessories for the...

Long range vs performance - spare part differences, maintenance cost

Right?! There's no way anyone is buying performance SUVs these days! No reputable manufacturer would build them, since they wouldn't sell! 🤣🤣 Let me tell you why I bought one.
