Honestly, is there a better place to own a Tesla? $5,000 state tax credit, laws against ICEing, beautiful mountain roads, power is relatively better because ICE cars suffer in altitude, and even bad traffic to take advantage of AP ;)
Thanks for this information OP. While we should endeavor to watch our kids 24/7 and be perfect parents, life sometimes happens, and I appreciate the heads up.
In Colorado- I just started the insurance on the M3 one day before actual delivery. Extra cost was like $2 to avoid this issue. Not sure why your insurance company won't let you insure it a day early, Progressive had no problem with taking my extra $2.
This is right. If you want an around-town efficient people transporter for the lowest possible up-front cost, get a leaf. If you want a fun to drive, sporty car that happens to be an EV, and have a few extra bucks to spend for it, get an M3.
Just got my delivery date too- ordered 5/20, delivery date of 6/5. We'll see. Is there any way to get information about the car from the VIN? Like HW3 or anything else?
I decided not to wait. The concern is that you may not get delivery before the end of June, thus risking the $1875 federal tax credit. Right now there is almost no inventory- and all the people placing orders now will be ahead of your MIL in line. There are many people who have been waiting over...
Nice! Hope it happens quickly for me too. Looks like the 19 inch sport wheels are causing the holdup- almost all of the recent inventory have the aero wheels.
How did you find out? Do they send you an e-mail or did you have to refresh the Tesla page constantly? I ordered on 5/20 the same as you, except with the sport wheels.
