Power trunk and frunk [pre 2021 Model 3]

Interesting video -- but if you look at his car, it has two motors, one on each side... however I recall seeing it on only one side before... https://twitter.com/tesla_raj/status/1317612979819474944 also if im not wrong... there is a physical difference in appearance between teslaoffers "OEM"...

DIY Almost Free Super Bright LEDs

It is true -- if there is no puddle light connected, the window goes up and stays up and will damage the trim.

DIY Almost Free Super Bright LEDs

It turned out the solder wasn't fully melted into the connector pins and some were somehow shorted even though they weren't touching -- hence the "no power" situation I had as I tripped the efuse and had to wait a bit for it to be restored. I managed to cook one of the connectors and the pins...

    M3:SR for 44k in Canada

Nope. Unless you pulled the LTE SIM card and never connect to WiFi -- there is ZERO chance that you would not get the update. It is a silent config provision and not an update. And even if you were to not do such update -- most of us purchased before the V10 update and you can see how it can be...

    M3:SR for 44k in Canada

It was most likely delivered with full range and then manually nerfed by Tesla HQ. Same happened to me after a month of full range.

Why are Teslas excluded from BC Scrap-It program?

AFAIK, Tesla used to do it back in 2018 but I think they were only allocated 2 or 3 a year and said it wasn't worth the hassle. Hence the reason why no more SCRAP-IT for Tesla's. Do realize SCRAP-IT is a private entity... they can do whatever they want

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

Just installed two DIY harnesses. I noticed some things. 2019 Model 3 tweeters (pillar speakers) at the top are working and warning chimes are not super loud. 2020 Model 3 - March build with rear speakers — top tweeters (pillar) are not working and the warning chimes are super loud Both kits...

if you put it that way... your claim of the margin loss is significantly greater than what you expected.

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Everyone who has a SR- is prepared and already knows what to expect. I highly doubt anyone is willing to even sell one to you used.

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

If I made a video with a phone app dB meter on top of each speaker in the dash will you believe me then? No doubt that It is connected, it is just disabled in software as it used to work.

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

Do you own a SR? Or will you take advice from an actual SR owner who had the SR+ configuration before they nerfed it? My EQ settings had to change after my car showed as a SR -- immersive off before too. I had to bump up the trebles to get it to sound similar to before.
  13. D

    Hansshow Audio Upgrade? (SR+)

Incorrect. The front middle tweeter at the dash is disabled

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

We don't have regrets. We're just not happy we're not given the full 150KM range. Every bit of range counts when you only have so much. We're susceptible to uncalibrated battery, degradation with no way to fix such.
  17. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Honestly, it sounds stupid. They legally sell SR+ with the incentive. It doesn't make sense for the SR- to not be able to upgrade to SR+ if they changed their mind.
  18. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Nope. It is a configuration entity -- see greentheonly tweets. They won't and cannot downgrade as the owner would have the date of purchase proof.
  19. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

They do. Those who ordered the SR before the iZEV incentive was announced did get the American version of the Standard Range.

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Yes, but how many km's have you travelled? Mine hasn't even reached 10k KM.
  21. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Yup. Still got a max charge of 141KM.
  22. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Nope. We are still seeing the same reduced range. Tesla support lied about it being dependent on climate.

    2020 SR+ Foglights

Is anyone able to grab clearer photos of both sides of the connectors? And possibly the part number for the connector? I'm trying to do this mod but want to create a interceptor so I don't do destructive damage to the harness. I suspect it being a PA66 GF25 connector? Many thanks in advance!

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

$41,944 when I had the $10k rebate. Absolutely no regrets getting this car (and the same for the other owners here on this forum). It's a great daily commute car given based on how far your commute may be. Charging is great as well as you literally Supercharge for 10mins max from empty and...

Volume on Tesla Model 3. Why no gradual rise?

This problem happens after the parking assist chime goes off, calls ending... doesn’t seem to happen on navigation prompts. Volume seems to be more than what it was and then quickly dips back. It is very noticeable when you have a bass heavy song playing and right at that moment it resumes, a...

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Great. On a good day it’s 142KM, bad day at 138km rated. Others on this forum disagree that we should have full 150km range but we have quite the gimped range.
  28. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

All Canadian cars still have the premium trial. No idea when that expires as Tesla hasn’t figured out the price for Canadians.

    Inquired about SR upgrade Canada

You ordered a SR? The 220mile American version? Or you have the Canadian 150KM?? You’re in Vancouver?? I heard the people who ordered the 220mile version got dropped to 150km version and the American SR doesn’t exist in Canada.
  30. D

    Inquired about SR upgrade Canada

You're one of us! I don't think extra 35KM is correct... we would jump from 150KM to ~402KM or 38xKM range. Let us know what the service center says!
  31. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

All fuss aside, seems like Tesla has pushed a config update and now our cars no longer show Standard Plus and are now Standard. Our speakers seems to sound a bit off now... I believe 2 more speakers are disabled now. talk about more things removed in this car than delivered...

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Tell me how my battery degrades when I only can charge to 43%. To get this kind of degradation, I’d need to charge to 100% constantly and leave it at that capacity always. It so happens that even Bjorn’s TM3 also randomly lost range after V10?
  33. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Problem is I have. I’ve said that in my previous post. They keep closing my case without any notice.
  34. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Here is what Tesla explicitly says about the range display: “When fully charged, the driving range displayed is based on regulating agency certification (Environmental Protection Agency - EPA).” Shouldn’t my car show 151KM in my case on a full charge then?
  35. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

Although Tesla doesn’t suggest the range to be subject to conditions, therefore one cannot assume either way. However, what one can assume is that this range is subject to reasonable conditions. Canada has its own fuel economy system. The very car is rated for 151KM in fact. Page 44...
  36. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

The problem is that the estimated range available is RATED range, not based on how you drive. Therefore the rated range should not fluctuate. It gets worse when you have only 150KM and a bit is eaten up by cold climate and then having the car itself not charge another 10+KM is where things go...
  37. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

This is the rating we were promised. No mention of estimate. It is a HARD number. If I was promised a fully 150km range car. I expect a car that has 150km no matter what conditions. This was the case before the V10 update.
  38. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

This doesn't add up. Snowflake icon and I get 139KM. No snowflake icon and I have 135km??? Come on guys.... make some sense.
  39. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

So you’re saying 10% degradation is normal after only 4000 KM?? What we were promised as a 150KM range wasn’t the EPA estimated range.
  40. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

On a side note, based on my OBD2 reader, the highest battery capacity percentage I have seen lately is 39.84% at 100% This means that the battery is literally capped at the lower end, the further we drain our batteries and it’s health.

    Here’s more screenshots.
  42. D

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

There shouldn’t be any degradation. Our battery is the same battery as SR+. We got that range upon delivery. The degradation should really come off the higher end of the battery capacity. This is just a software issue. The battery is totally capable of doing it. When it comes to winter, 8km is...

Model 3 Standard Range (Canada) Range: 150km

welcome to the special club! However, you’d be surprised what we are seeing. We’re not getting the full 150km and are limited based on percentage. We only end up with 142KM on a full charge in a garage heated at 14C on a good day. Sometimes we end up with 138KM as well. @Amdax and @abbott and...

    Spotify issue

This is a problem somebody has brought up before... the handoff between Spotify and different devices is not properly coded. The car fails to regain access to Spotify if another device is accessing Spotify. Also having the volume all the way down to mute should pause, but it does not.

Anyone with a SR- with the new update 2019.32.2.1 not getting regen when the car is at full charge? Regen used to work despite the battery was charged at 100%... as our models have limited capacity.
