MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

For the love of god, did you read this thread at all before commenting? The hat was bought directly from (and made by) Melin, a very nice hat company. I have several of their hats, this is most certainly not a "cheap knock off". www.melinbrand.com As already pointed out and demonstrated...

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

It did not take care of it at all. That was one of the first things I tried. I thought it would work as well, but it was utterly ineffective.

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I like your setup and was actually looking at AG wheels and lowering the car. If you don't mind, a few questions? I see you say you have Unplugged "milds". However, on UP's web site for the M3 Performance/PUP I only see the "UP Super Performance" option to select. Did you get springs for a...

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

So, the paper towel trick worked, and lo and behold the hat stained it. So, a little bit of liquid and it transfers dye. The good news is that it enabled me to try different things to see if anything would get the dye out of the paper towel. The only thing I had any luck with was nail polish...

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

That’s good info to keep a eye out for. I’ll have to avoid resting my head on the seat back as well without a hat or something in the summer time.

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

The car is six months old. I bought it used from a fellow member on here. Seat was in perfect shape when I got it from him. I suppose something could have been on the seat chemical-wise but I dont know if he used anything or not. Good suggestion, I’ll follow up with him to see.

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

I was on my way in to work. No sunscreen, lotions, etc. I’m bald so no hair products either.

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

Didn’t even lighten the stain. Completely ineffective.

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

No, absolutely not. The pattern of the hat fabric matches up perfectly with the stain.

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

I’m trying an experiment today to see if I can get the dye to transfer to a viva paper towel. I wet the hat a bit to simulate me wearing it and sweating in it.

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

Thanks for the good tips, I’m thinking at this point I’ve got to hit up the local service center to see what they can do. I’ve already gone up the chain of cleaners and tried the magic eraser. I’m worried I may have already damaged the fabric, so I’m not touching it myself any more. The hat is...

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

Mistake? I put my hat on the back seat. That's it, nothing else to the story. I wouldn't expect this to have happened in a million years. I suppose in your world that is a mistake? I'm not looking for a free handout, I'll pay to have it replaced if necessary. It just strikes me as extremely odd...

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

It's not oily at all, it was dry from the moment I noticed it. If anything, it's a lot drier now that I've gone at it with cleaning products galore and Magic Eraser.

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

There's not. The hat was dry as far as I know. I suppose there could have been some sweat from me wearing it? Not sure, but it wouldn't have been that much and it certainly wasn't soaked. This has me perplexed as well.

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

So, I’m a little over a week into a new (to me) Model 3 Performance. I absolutely love it, and I did a lot of reading about how great and stain resistant the white interior is. So, I went with it. Late this week, I left a black baseball hat on the back seat for a few days. The car was in a...

    WTB: Tesla Model 3 Performance

No taxes in AZ on used cars, if private party to private party. It's probably the only "good deal" on taxes in Arizona, otherwise it's highway robbery here.

    WTB: Tesla Model 3 Performance

I priced out a new one (minus FSD) and it is $65,675.90 with taxes. Subtract the tax credit and it's $61925.90. You're right, many folks seem to be pricing their cars well inside of the range where it might make more sense to get a new car instead. I'm a bit on the fence about it, and a lot of...

    WTB: Tesla Model 3 Performance

Yes, mostly it’s to determine that the car is legit/as advertised. Since I can’t see/drive the car in person myself if I live in AZ and the car is in Illinois, this is a necessary expense if I want to avoid getting scammed. It depends on the site that you find the listing on......some are more...

    WTB: Tesla Model 3 Performance

Hello! This is my first post on here, but I’ve been a lurker for a long time. I’ve been looking online for a Model 3 Performance for a while and have had several cars get “grabbed” out from under me recently. It’s been frustrating to say the least, especially after paying for pre-purchase...
