Used 2021 Model S LR refresh, Is this a good deal?

Lovely. It just keeps getting better and better for those that bought their S/X before 2023...

Has anyone gone from a 911 to a Plaid?

Yeah its nice when a mobile tech can come out and repair your car at home, but dealing with taking it in to a Telsa service center (which has been often in my case) has always been a headache. Unprofessional communication, and lame uber credits provided (that I never use) instead of a loaner...

Used 2021 Model S LR refresh, Is this a good deal?

What Price cut are you talking about?? The Telsa S prices have remained the same on the Tesla website.

Best way to buy a Plaid sight unseen.

I disagree. The biggest advantage of the Plaid by far is the it's acceleration. Nothing factory stock really comes close. The back seats aren't very comfortable or roomy for the size of the car, but the work. I wouldn't say a one-trick-pony either...The plaid handles better than people give it...

Has anyone gone from a 911 to a Plaid?

I'd keep the 911 and outback. The Plaid accelerates very fast from any speed which is addictive and fun, and the factory stereo is excellent, otherwise it's a POS!! Tons of issues and dealing with Tesla service is generally awful. My 2022 Plaid has 6k miles and has been in the service dept 8...

    Plaid 19 vs 21

That is interesting... I haven't needed to complete a panic stop at high speeds. I have gone and braked hard from around 150 only two times in the 1/4mile. I never went that speed again because the brakes felt terrible in the same way you stated. Because of that, Ive only been doing 1/8th mile...

    Plaid 19 vs 21

I dont care what the numbers on paper say, the Plaid brakes during panic stop situations at high speeds (100mph+) are sketchy, period. Do you even own a Plaid?? Ive owned many performance cars including the ZL1 1LE, 2020 GT500, M3, Hellcat and none of those cars were unsafe during high speed...

Who's getting the normal steering wheel?

Not sure if the same issue as your, but my 2022 Tesla S rear seats make noise as well. Like an annoying creaking sound while driving and going over bumps. I had a mobile tech look at it and he said I'll need to bring into service to fix it. He also said it was a common complaint. My noise...

Model S/X Round Steering Wheel & Retrofit

A day after having the round steering wheel installed the airbag fell out on to my lap on the way home from work... I had to drive home holding the connected airbag in with one hand. Not good or safe. I tried to pop it in myself but didn't want to damage anything. I had a mobile technician come...

Model S/X Round Steering Wheel & Retrofit

I just got my round steering wheel installed. It is a little thinner and larger than I anticipated but its not too thin. It looks better in the car than the yoke (imo). You can really see how good the steering feel/response really is with the round wheel. I am overall pleased with it. If you...

    Have to vent

I embarrassingly paid $129k for my Telsa S Plaid last year and beyond livid with Elon's shenanigans.

    Plaid 19 vs 21

Ive owned and daily driven my Plaid for almost a year now and not a hater or regurgitating crap Ive read. The brakes feel lacking to me even when cold, especially at HIGH SPEEDS (120+ mph) at the drag stip. I dont have this issue with my BMW X3m40i or ZLE. Under 100mph the Plaid brakes generally...

Model S/X Round Steering Wheel & Retrofit

I wasn't aware the steering wheel could be installed via mobile service. I might see if I can change my appointment to mobile, as dealing with Tesla service is a PITA.

Model S/X Round Steering Wheel & Retrofit

Exactly !! We paid for the yoke when we bought car and paid for the round retrofit steering wheel. If anything they should give us the round wheel (and then some) after randomly dropping the plaid msrp by $20K+ pretty much over night making everybody with pre 2023 Telsa plaids underwater on...

    Plaid 19 vs 21

The 19's dont look as good but you get a lot more range and a little more acceleration than the 21's, a win win to me. It should be advertised as capable of 200mph with the optional installed hardware. The factory braking at high speeds does leaves a lot to be desired imo, prob my biggest...
