How to protect new front half-shafts

Reading this thread, you all seem to have resigned yourselves to the fact that we will have to pay for new half shafts every 15-20k miles…. Mine are going in for their 5th set at 120k km. so far all under warranty. It seems to me some cars MX never have a problem. I know a few that have driven...

P85D charge rates at superchargers V2 Vs V3

My experience is that with a MX 2019 with a theoretical limit of 150kw is that I never get that high on a V2 even though it should be possible, but have had over 150 for a few minutes, peaked at 183 for a few seconds, when charging on a V3.

    Faster supercharging tip

Noticed a couple of possible tricks when supercharging. 1) even though Model X is theoretically limited to 150kw, using the CCS adapter on a V2 or V3 charger is faster than not using the adapter. My record was 183kw, but it only stayed at that speed for a second or two, by the time I took a...

Would you buy the N2itive Alignment kit for your Model X to fix shudder and tire wear?

My SC in Munich stated that could only align for standard height and insisting I drive in low so they wouldn’t have to replace the CV joints a 4th time. Then when they saw how badly worn my inner side rear tyres were warn, they stated they had set to alignment for low. Lets see. I am about to...

    Tire Wear experiences?

So Tesla Recommended Going for Low in rather than normal to protect the front CV joints, which have now been replaced 3 Times in 40kmiles. That led to very strong Saw Tooth wear on immer side of read Tires. They have since set the car to have the right camber at low. (If you believe them, as I...

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

I have a 2019 pre Raven modelX. From drive shafts we’re replaced after about 15k km. But problem returned 3k later. SC wait for new ones. I waited. New ones installed 6 months ago at about 36km. noticed a different kind of vibration shortly afterwards, which has gradually got worse, but SC just...

How can I lock the ride height in Standard at all times?

So my Tesla service centre has agreed to set the ideal camber on the tyres for low setting as I do mainly motorway driving and rear tyres were wearing excessively on the inside. The wear also left a sawtooth pattern on the tyres. I.e if you run your hand one way it feels smooth and the other way...

    Front axles keep breaking

Has it worked? I replaced mine after about 15000km and it started to shudder before it got to 20k. Service centre recommended waiting before replacing them again. So driving on low when I drive fast or accelerate hard untill then.

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

Have a pre Raven MX 100D. Shudder appeared after about 10km. SC said wait for new parts. Did so and had them replaced in March 2020 at about 20k km. Drove in low most of the time up to that point. Avoided hard acceleration when cold. Since then usually dropped to low before accelerating hard...

    2020.36.3

Anyone had alarm problems during a software update? It has never happened before but while installing version 2020.36.10 on an early 2019 model X 100D in Germany the alarm went off multiple times despite no reason for it. I could unlock and enter the car with the fob. And sometime clicking on...

Elon says truck will have solar roof option that can add 15 miles range/day

The military potential of a super fast, super silent, low IR signature, low radar signature, bullet (proof) self refuelling vehicle, albeit very slowly without extra panels in the back, is not insignificant.... I can imagine every drug smuggler and police force around the world wanting one too....
