Wind/road noise from doors/windows -- fix it for good

Thanks for the heads up @TLLMRRJ and @StarHunter. Unfortunately I already bought the kit and also unfortunately, I completely agree with your assessments. The trunk seal is USELESS. I noticed it immediately when trying to put it on. It would seal against the existing rubber on the base of the...

284 mile range after 15.5k miles - what’s going on?

I just got off the phone with a Tesla service technician who took a good look at my car and its data on the 99% to 3% drive. All in all everything seems to be ok and as expected. This was his main points: The kWh display in the car under trip/since last charge does NOT currently include power...

284 mile range after 15.5k miles - what’s going on?

@Zoomit thanks that’s very helpful. I’ve had the car sit at 92% since you posted this but there’s still no change in the range displayed. Is it unrealistic to expect it to climb a few km over two days if it a balancing issue?

284 mile range after 15.5k miles - what’s going on?

I got the feeling that my M3P battery has degraded too much. It’s 1 year old, has driven 15500 miles (25000km), and displays 284 miles (457 km) range at 99% (I can rarely charge it to 100% anymore), a degradation nearing 10%. Today I took it on a long trip starting from 99% and driving it down...

    Model 3 Steering Wheel Squeaking

I had the same issue with my M3 after about 1 year. The issue started after driving the car through an automated car wash. The squeaking only happens or is worst the further down the wheel is adjusted. If I adjust it upwards from max bottom 4-5 ticks the noise goes away. Lubricating the wheel...

Wind/road noise from doors/windows -- fix it for good

@destructure00 how did you adjust the windows sideways? I have a similar gap on the rear windows. It’s not obvious to me with the door panel off what stuff does what.

Wind/road noise from doors/windows -- fix it for good

I finally got around to adjust the window using destructure00's awesome video instructions (thanks!). I went into this thinking I had to tilt the window inwards, but I quickly realized it was the opposite. Two full turns clockwise made the door unclosable. Looking at the angle between the...

Wind/road noise from doors/windows -- fix it for good

Sorry for not replying here but I've tried 3 times, and every time my posts disappear without reason:(. If this one sticks I'll try replying again.

Wind/road noise from doors/windows -- fix it for good

@Seth2020 sorry for the late reply, but it seems you cracked the code yourself. The key to the b-type seal is as you say yourself not the part behind the flap, but the outer part that makes tighter contact with the window than the flap. In my case the b-seal did push the flap out a bit as well...

Wind/road noise from doors/windows -- fix it for good

Thanks for the link. This looks like an interesting kit. Especially the frunk and trunk which is not included in the BASENOR kit I currently have installed. Might give this a go or try putting some similar seals on the frunk/trunk.

Wind/road noise from doors/windows -- fix it for good

Thanks, but yes. I tried that several times both with sponges and the rubber tubing. Sadly it had no effect on my car.

Wind/road noise from doors/windows -- fix it for good

Yeah sorry. I relized that after posting it sounded too positive. Unfortunately I can't change it :(

Cool! I'm interested in trying this out myself. Pictures or video would be awesome.

Wind/road noise from doors/windows -- fix it for good

My M3P has been troubled with mostly wind and road noise originating from areas or in ways that don't seem right since I got it 1 year ago. I've been at my local service center 4 times with the issues, and every time they make it worse, so I decided to try and fix it myself. For the past few...
