I'm also in the new user group this morning. Had a 95 safety score for well over 2 weeks now with the requisite 100 miles minimum and am just now downloading 2022.36.20 (got the notification ~3 hours ago).
I was previously in the FSDb program on my 2018 M3, but sold it back in June to get a...
Got vinned today around ~4pm ET. Didn't get the text from Tesla until 7:30pm to schedule my pickup. Will be picking the new vehicle up come next Thursday 6/16.
Vin: 7SAXCBE69NF345XXX
Another data point, my EDD just narrowed from 6 weeks to 5 weeks.
Previously was July 3rd - August 19th. Updated to July 5th - August 9th this morning around 9am ET (when I last checked it).
Hoping it stays right after end-of-quarter push.
Edit: Confused June with July, just hopeful wishing...
Looks like the same release notes that were already released by others.
Roads are pretty icy/snowy around here, but gonna go take the car out and see if I can test things out safely or not.
Edit: Yeah, no way I could feel comfortable trying to let the car drive on the current roads. Will have...
Nah they haven't announced a date yet AFAIK (just checked the Tesla Investor Relations site to be sure). Best guess is it will be January 26th, based on previous Q4 earnings call dates.
Just started installing 44.25.6 here. I'm visiting family and don't have a wifi connection available for the car here, so it downloaded over cellular. Haven't had it do that before, which is interesting.
Edit: Was previously on 36.8.10.
Any way to record data using an accelerometer and overlay an acceleration graph on the video? That would be a good way to represent random braking events on video, if possible.
I might have to look into any hardware available out there, maybe DIY something. I don't believe I've seen any beta...
I think the only call-out I'd make is they announced with 1/2/3 motor configurations, so they had planned on supporting three models at some point (timing on manufacturing being the difference). I do agree that we should expect everything to change, though, based on what has happened since then...
I've also noticed a drop in uploads from the car when returning home. I used to see regular ~4GB of data uploaded as soon as I arrived back at home. Now I'm seeing at most ~300MB when the car is scheduled to charge at night. Maybe Tesla has a larger backlog of clips to annotate than they...
Apologies for not being explicit 🤦♂️. I've thus far only been disengaging/intervening when necessary, and pushing the camera button when something really bad happens. Not sending any emails yet, giving Tesla two versions to see if it improves. If it doesn't improve, I might start emailing...
I think for me, once I've reported a problem by tapping on the camera icon or intervening, I'd expect some kind of change/improvement after two versions. At least that's the impression I'm getting based on Elon's tweets. I may look to provide more detailed notes to Tesla if I'm not seeing any...
My score actually dipped back down to a 99 just last night due to a short FCW from someone pulling out of a McDonalds in front of me. Otherwise I've been maintaining a 100 since late last Friday night. Still woke up to the FSD Beta email + software update ready to install on my vehicle. Not sure...
September 2018 M3, FSD purchased on discount back in Feb 2019. Rebooted the car this morning around 6:30am ET and got the software update a few minutes after. Installing it now.
I wonder if it's going to be pushed out through the mobile app. The new version is using Microsoft's CodePush, in theory they could release some kind of update to the app that way.
When I run into this problem (which is almost every other day), I just hold down the two scroll wheels on the steering wheel until the screen turns off. Then wait for the car to boot back up and connect to the cell network. Is starting to get really annoying, adds ~4 minutes to the start of my...
Remember that they still planned on building the Model Y out of Austin with the 4680 cells and the new casting machine. My guess is they just weren't ready to cannibalize Model S Plaid for a Plaid+ that was going to take longer to produce.
Still think the plan is to vet the new 4680 tech on the...
@Scott Fairchild Thanks, I looked back at the article I read from Bloomberg regarding the $80k limit and they quoted "suggested retail price".
Checked a more reputable source like Reuters and they have it stated as "total retail price". So yep, depending on how it's interpreted that would...
I believe as the bill is written thus far, the $80k limit applies to MSRP, which wouldn't include sales tax. That would put the tri-motor in range of the credit, depending on what options you might add on. Obviously we'd have to see what actually ends up getting passed into law, though.
Yeah this hasn't been my experience as well. In fact, if anything it recognizes things more often than it should. I regularly receive popups about "upcoming stop sign" when now is present, or trying to stop at non-flashing school lights thinking they're a traffic light that has gone out. I...
Hopefully he was talking about the Dual Motor variant on that one... heh. Possibly changing which model they produce first based on how many 4860 battery cells they can crank out.
If I were to add my own color/anecdote, I also seem to get this message whenever the available space on my external drive dips below the 5% mark. If I had to guess, maybe something to do with deleting old events not freeing up new space fast enough, or similar.
Once I go in and delete some...
Ooo I'm in Columbus, Ohio as well with a November 2018 build. Might be worth tempting my fate as well, instead of waiting for them to reach out. I just assumed vin 133,XXX would be really far down on the priority list.
Wow that's surprising. Seeing the same thing on my device, Pixel 2 XL. I was able to install a recent app update last night and still have it installed, but definitely not showing up in the play store any longer.
Wonder if this was something Google did or if Tesla pulled it for some reason?
