    Check your AC

Thats interesting, we have the same trouble with our 2013 P85+. In addition we have often warning messages like "reduced AC, power being used to cool battery systems"; when outside temp is very high the car struggles to generate cold air; supercharging speed depends on outside temp etc. Tesla...

    A/C condenser failure (battery cooling)

Adding my own experience here in case someone needs a data point in the future. Have a P85+ 2013 model, driven 200.000km Noticed during our latest european road trip that esp in hot climates, or after several hundred kms during the day: -supercharging speed (kW vs %SoC) was highly variable...

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

The displayed added kWh is not accurate. What is accurate is the added km (or miles). To know how many kWh you have added to your battery, multiply that figure by the magic "typical" constant (in my case, P85+, 189 wh/km)

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

Whatever they say its pure distraction. The real issue is loss of (available) capacity, not range. As long as customers keep on complaining about range they ll dodge the issue by stating that range depends on many factors and so forth. Stick to kWh capacity, stick to the physics. Then lets...

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

I have gone as well through the whole thread, started when it had 57 pages. I don't think I have seen any hard evidence supporting the claim that Tesla is out after Li plating or dendrite growth? For any newcomer to the thread it would be great to stick to the facts and clearly separate that...

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

Agree that when I charge (and on the energy app) the constant used is 200 wh/km, but when driving it is 189 wh/km. The former should be disregarded IMO, the latter used to back-calculate the useable battery capacity. These constants are for a P85+ 2013 model. Note that I do not have any means to...

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

Interesting as well is that the screenshots you have taken show that if you look at the delta in Nominal Charge Remaining indeed you get your 53.2 kWh added you have mentioned above. But if you look at the delta in Charge Total rows, you get 61927 - 61869 = 58 kWh. So what is the correct...

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

Just to be clear: contents of my post are my own informed opinion. And I realize theres a typo, indeed its not the round trip efficiency that is under 10%, its the round trip losses

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

The kWh added shown on the display do not account for losses during charging, the same way that kWh used displayed after a trip on the dash do not account for losses during discharge. Round trip efficiency of batteries is under 10% and that is confirmed by these numbers. What you add to your...
