Is Auto Lane changing for FSD or just with Autopilot? I don't have FSD with my M3

I am also not going with the FSD but Performance yes. I am tempted just to take my Lexus down to WBAC and see if they offer the 17k they quoted.

So has anyone considered buying two Tesla Model 3's? One for yourself as Director and one for your wife who is a employee. Trying to weigh up the pros and cons. Pros are I see: FYA on both cars so roughly 20k saving on Corp tax in year 1. As of April 2020 will be zero BIK then 1%. Cons are...

Spoke to my accountant today and it does need to be New. A Used EV will attract a 18% reducing balance which means maybe 2k in year and 18% less each year. New is definitely better

Not looking to purposefully commit fraud and thanks for clarifying how selling the car would work. I don't have a buyer as yet but I'm confident I'll still make a profit and be happy to pay the corp tax due

Sorry I am saying I just record the sale as if its to me instead of whoever buys it.

Why not that is meant to say. I am technically selling it to myself I guess at a slightly lower valuation. I bag the difference and pay less at the corp tax.

Not sure I get what your saying. I am selling the car, it will get what ever the buyer pays for it. I'm not going to buy it myself so not sure how else I can avoid paying corporation tax on the sale. One thought I've had is when I sell it I then transfer the money from my personal account to...

I am advertising it privately above what WeBuyAnycar are offering by over 4k at just under 22k. I am expecting to sell for closer to 20k so the corp tax is going to be 1290. Guess I'll have to just take the hit as no way I want or afford to pay my business that sort of money for a car I want...

So I have a company car through my LTD company at the moment which I had on PCP and just paid the balance. Looking to sell which will generate a profit that will be added to my corp tax. Something to be aware of potentially £1200 it I make the profit I expect. Not actually sure how the...

Is that against the amount you've paid so far and believe this is 18% per year?

UKNorthamptom your not far from me. I'm in Towcester! What are you getting a Model 3 which one? I am still considering a Used Model S as just prefer the look and feel but having trouble weighing up the pros and cons financially. I believe the tax relief is the same just not in the first year...

I am edging towards a New Model 3 in any case as just not sure on a Used S paying similar money for a 3/4 year old car!

I don't really understand the difference with a new or used in terms of the corp tax. If its new I get its in the first year you get the write down offset against that years corp tax. If its Used its 18% each year. Seems the same in either just upfront with a new.

Reese Don't you pay the Luxury Car tax from the start in Year 1 also?

    That's really interesting. Thanks

LTD company too good to be true?

Quite possibly but we don't have a crystal ball so I'm 100% going EV for my next car. So another reason to go for a Used Tesla S pre 2017 is not only free use of the Tesla charging network but also avoid the Luxury VED introduced this year for cars registered after April 2017 that were over...

Thanks I don't see there being much in it as the BIK is no more than 2 percent in 2022. I guess we don't know what 2023 on looks like yet.

LTD company too good to be true?

Thanks that makes sense now and kind of puts a Used Tesla back on the cards as either New or Used would be a PCP or HP.

LTD company too good to be true?

anyone know what the P11D is for a Model S P85D? I guess we only need to be concerned with the remainder of this financial year at 16% BIK as it's then zero for 2020 and 2021 I believe so the P11D value is irrelevant I think..

Thanks everyone. So I am clear on this. If I go for a Model 3 with Performance and Full Self Drive 56k and my corp tax is currently 15k to HMRC then does that reduce this year corp tax bill considerably? Also is the write down the list price and options even with a PCP in my Limited company...

So I get a New Electric is the preferred option from a write down perspective 100% but does it still not make sense to buy a Users Electric Model S? Don't I still benefit from the write down but at a reduced rate each user and zero BIK after April 2020. I guess what I am saying is I want a...

Hi all, I am trying to work out i buying a Used Model S say 85D is worth it considering I won't benefit from the first year right down allowance against my Limited Company. I have had a Lexus IS300H F-Sport from new on a Contract Purchase and now the car is fully paid and owned but my Ltd...
