I dig that. But Judith Curry herself says she believes in climate change! Did people miss that? Or is she just hiding that now?
From the wiki page on her:
In his 2010 profile on Curry, Michael Lemonick notes that, though Curry does not dispute the science produced by the IPCC (e.g. that the...
I understand for sure. Perhaps I'm still naive and not informed enough with the latest arguments but Michael Shellenberger seems to make a very good case as to why nuclear power can help mitigate our energy dependence. Especially with thorium sounding so promising! Then again, I did come across...
Honestly, I find the responses below her post exactly why skepticism on climate change is so dangerous. Too many people grab hold of this to say, "see? what are we worried about?" The posts that claim the warming is GOOD...and would make things GREENER which would offset the bad effects. I mean...
Where's the "thumbs up" emoji??
This would be a wonderful way to close this thread. I completely agree! Daryl Davis is amazing. Get to know people. Link for his Ted talk is below for people who would like to view.
While I completely disagree with the analysis from @Swampgator about the...
:) I must've missed the latest evidence of that!
Nah...I just like it, even though I know it's not good for me. Or the environment! But to each his/her own, right?
And what you are admitting, is that you - like many, understandably - simply don't like the association of the government involved in deciding policy matters for what to do. As well, you don't like feeling berated by people who you otherwise have little to nothing in common with. I get it...
Exactly my point. The politics of it all has polarized what is absolutely scientific consensus (interesting use of quotes from you on that btw...)
All know that as the science changes, models and reactions change. Same in medicine. Advancements are made with the best we know at the time. Meat...
I think what you're expressing is a common question for those either new to the debate, or not as deeply knowledgable as people who spend their life involved with the science. Why can't we simply intellectually consider the contrary view, right?
The problem is, for those involved with this for...
To @brur's point, can people who have differing views be heard and taken seriously?
I'm fine with hearing one or two dissenting opinions for every 100 supporting opinions. Is this bias? No.Just an accurate representation of the scientific community. One issue is that people present two sides...
The majority of scientists do agree - models can change, but almost all are dire without curtailing our CO2 production.
I'd much rather live with the assumption we're doing everything we can to prevent climate change, than be skeptical and have my kids learn we were wrong.
Yes, the dealership should provide you with temp tags for that state, wherever you buy - "in transit" tags as some are called. You will then register it in full when back in Joisey!
:D
RE: sales tax - if you pay out of state, there is a form to fill out for reimbursement from NJ. As you know...
Hi,
Looking for recommendations for an auto shipper - ones you've used, or had friends use with good results. Hopefully ones that are familiar enough with Teslas that there isn't any issue loading or unloading.
Also, I've seen differing opinions on the value of a closed transport.
All...
Curious what company you used? I'm looking to contract a shipper so if anyone else has more recommendations, I'd certainly appreciate it!
As well, opinions on whether closed carriers are worth the significant extra cost. Thanks!
Hi all,
Found this forum looking for used Model 3s. Got the bug to get one and it's been very interesting and informative to read a lot of the posts (particularly in the "for sale" section - lots of strong opinions there!)
I look forward to hopefully participating more if/when I find that...
I'm new here, but isn't the logic here flawed? First, you can't buy the car today with the $7500 rebate. And the price now is lower than it was in 2018, so isn't the seller accurately taking the depreciation off his original - and accurate - price?
