It wouldn't cost anything (so I am told) as I only use 1 phase anyway. They would just remove the 2 unused fuses and tails. I have a basic meter anyway so would need a new meter even for an Economy 7 tarrif. Not quite sure how it can be classed as an inferior supply. I don't live in a mansion...

I also have a three phase supply but going to change to single phase, at least for the short term. At the moment they can't supply a smart meter for three phase so that limits the tarrifs you can use. Worth considering before getting a three phase charger...

Maybe people did pick a difficult combination, but at any point did Tesla inform people that their order "isn't available yet" or won't meet the June delivery date? This is the fundamental problem. I don't think it is unreasonable for customers to expect to be kept in the loop.

I just wish they gave reasonable "estimated" dates or at least some sort of communication out to customers when its clear those dates are no longer viable. At least they have now updated the website when you order...

Mine has also not reappeared. I wouldn't be surprised if my car has been allocated to someone who previously had 19" wheels. (my order is LR AWD White/Black)

I don't actually think they can do it as they would have already issued an order agreement that states prices.

They will send you some texts and call to confirm details of your order. Once confirmed and "locked in" (their words), thats when the radio silence commences :)

Yep, offer documentation arrives via email and needs printed, signed, witnessed then posted or handed into their offices in Leith. I haven't had my final invoice yet so I don't have a clue how they handle the trade in within the invoice.

I applied for the EST after putting the deposit down on the car. About 3 weeks later, the loan was approved and paperwork recieved. I have now signed and returned the paperwork. I will send them the Final Invoice as soon as it appears in my account!

It really is a bizarre lottery, I ordered the exact same spec for Edinburgh on 27th July... 490xxx VIN appeared overnight but no final invoice and no date!

I guess it comes down to the old supply and demand. If people need or it is convenient enough to use them they will pay that price. I have paid the rediculously expensive fuel/food/snack prices at motorway services as it is convenient.

I have been umming and ahhing about placing an order for months so have been paying a little attention when passing chargers. While I plan to do most of my charging at home, I would be tempted to park and charge somehwere close to home while I walk the dog etc.

That’s an interesting point on ChargePlaceScotland. Do you see chargers round you busy? The ones I regularly pass in and around Edinburgh are available more often than being used.

Having spent time in Germany years ago during winter with a UK car, I can also vouch for winter tyres... It really is night and day the grip you get!
