Charge limit set at 80% but charged to 93% the last two nights

There's nothing to be alarmed. Your BMS (Battery Management System) recalibrates from time to time so your old 80% is now recognized as 93%. It's huge 13% correction but it's doing its work.

LFP retrofit an old Long Range?

I have no idea. If you are in the business, you can alter the code to get free supercharging, tell your car that it's now LFP and don't reject a battery pack that doesn't belong to its particular VIN. And you might also want to block future Tesla firmware update as it might detect your VIN and...

LFP retrofit an old Long Range?

My guess: since LFP is heavier than NCA, you might need to make sure the suspension can take it. Just physically swapping one kind to another without the software adjustment, most likely it won't drive nor charge. If you modify the software correctly, it should work.

Can't get in car. Neither app, nor key card working.

I've owned 3 different Tesla S, 3, X for 12 years and the "supposedly" warnings are generally true except 3 times for me. There were times that there were advanced warnings. However, in 3 separate times over 12 years, the 12V just died with no warnings. Fortunately, it happened in my garage...

Recently bought a 2019 Model 3 SR+. It somehow has free supercharging... Advice/Info.

Previous owners didn't know why so I doubt that would change. It could be a simple mistake like free referral miles got stuck as infinite miles until someone can tell Tesla to fix it. Your decisions both have pros and cons. Being honest can be bad for your pocket but good for your conscience...

    Tesla goes over cliff-pacific-coast-highway-California-miracle survivors

The discussion on the thumb down is centered around how much the wife would be a factor in keeping the husband out of a trial. That question has nothing to do with my position on the judge's right or wrong. The focus is on the wife, not the judge. The answer is the wife's refusal to testify...

46% of American EV owners want to revert to gas?

I love EV and have been owning a Tesla for the past 12 years but that doesn't mean the majority of people feel the same. There are still not enough charging stations. Charging still takes more time than filling up gasoline. EVs are still expensive. It takes more effort to change a locked...

Mercedes approved for ACTUAL self driving in the USA. And will accept responsibility.

Lane change is no big deal to Tesla. However, "at least 33 percent of all crashes happen when vehicles change lanes or veer off the road." The decision making choice prioritizing robots can be fatal as displayed in 2 Boeing 737 Max MCAS crashes. The US said it's no big deal but the whole...

Sorry for the problem. It's a straw of luck when the car is out of warranty. There's nothing you can do to change that luck unless you want to buy another under warranty. In them meantime, you might want to google "tesla battery repair shops" and ask if they can do cheaper. It might be...

Would a surge protector be recommended for a home charger?

Thanks to global warming, it's not going to get better. State Farm alone paid out more than 18,000 lightning claims in 2023 so it does happen although statistically, you are unlikely getting it. That said, I would still get one. It's a few hundred dollars plus labor.

Mercedes approved for ACTUAL self driving in the USA. And will accept responsibility.

Correct. Mercedes doesn't want L3 to cause fatalities that would got it stuck with the L3 liability compensation so it wants to do all kinds of restrictions on L3, including a ban on automatic lane change even when Europe law now allows. On the other hand, it doesn't have to pay for L2...

No doubt. Its L3 only works in very defined limited conditions. However, don't forget that it also has L2 that works just like Tesla Navigation on Autopilot on Highway in 50 states without the above restricted map. The disadvantage of its L2 is it doesn't take responsibility for accidents...

We are talking about a design and how big deal if that design fails. Good designer for a pool should include a child-proof fence. Good designer for an electronic door is a backup mechanical keys. A good designer does not blame victims but design such as to prevent victims.
