That would mean transmitting the code over the air to the car, making it less secure then current. The use case of wanting to put the pin in while not sat in the front seats is tiny enough not to expose a security flaw into the system IMO.

If thieves are sophisticated enough to defeat a Tesla’s security systems to the point they can drive it away, I’m pretty confident they can manage the average garage door lock.

One possibility, did you potentially leave a door not closed and slightly ajar? The window would be down a touch then and allow water entry, especially in windy conditions.

Looking at a cheap fitting for a car charge port for the house. I quality for the grant, but also planning to move house in a few months so “using up” the grant for the sake of a few months doesn’t seem worth it, IIRC you can’t get the grant twice if you move home. Now I can supercharge easily...
