If you can't bear the wait for your M3 (the bright side is production issues should be worked out by then), perhaps you could use that spare time to monitor the certified pre-owned (CPO) Model S market. You might find one to your liking with free lifetime Tesla charging network access.

I can definitely relate to this --- as the aging parent. I'm hoping this car will keep me mobile for years into the future. Especially is the suggestions here don't convince my bride to embrace this new technology.

clmason, thanks for the picture. It looks like the back seat is up. Do you think with the back seats folded down, two bags and carts will fit? Waiting for my config invitation, will be replacing a 2003 Camry that can easily accommodate two bags/carts with the seats folded.
