Is anyone able to help me out with USB media? I've formatted and installed a 64Gb drive (fat32 formatted). The dashcam and sentry modes seem to be enables and actively recording but I can't seem to get my music to appear in the media player. The usb on screen button that i can see in tutorial...

I picked up my White P3- from Alexandria this morning. There were about 7 other 3's ready for delivery today. The handover was brisk but unhurried. I seemed to know as much if not more than the delivery specialist, but that wasn't an issue.

I got a call from Syd delivery an hour ago. They have moved my pick-up to Tomorrow (Wed, originallyThursday). They said 15min is allocated to delivery so from this I'm assuming all the 12v battery issues are being resolved and Syd at least has a few cars to get out this week? Assumption...

Just got an email confirming a previous tentative pickup this Thursday. (One of the 12v battery issue vehicles). Fingers crossed....

As other poster have said, no offence to you but WTF people have been waiting over 3.5 years for this vehicle. If its not in the right spot for someone on the waiting list then ship it to them!

Wow. Already planning to buy a Tesla in 7yrs time. Whilst I hope Tesla are still around disrupting what remains of the traditional car manufacturers, there may be some better vehicles on offer by then..... You never know, someone may have made a "Tesla Killer" by then

Perhaps a list of the reservations by date on their website would help transparency (with a note of status). Then we could all see what is really happening.....it won't happen though

Yes I agree. Plenty of cash to keep them going for a few more years yet..... I'm also confidentant that Telsa will become a profitable company in time.

Any half decent electrician should be able to install. The "charger" is not a charger (that is inside the vehicle). The wall connector should just be installed on a dedicated circuit, just like a a/c unit or a water heater

Why oh why would this be so? Why would you cycle a 12v lead acid battery when you have a huge power source permanently available. Citation from an authoritative source for your understanding would be nice

Sorry, I was making my own estimate based on the usual quarterly schedule of roll out that Europe and other locations have experienced. ie more options will open up when the initial limited range demand has been satisfied.

There may be plent of ships but M3 vehicle deliveries will dry up at for a period at the end of the quarter. Telsa will want the MINIMUM of vehicles in transit and will focus all efforts on the NA market. At the start of the new quarter the tap will turn on again.

...yes they considered it but the reason is economic not technological. A LiFePo or Lion battery can be safely and effectively used in vehicles with 12v systems its just more expensive.

Model 3 12 volt battery location If the battery in the Au model 3's are this type there is NOTHING special about it. (apart from the fact that its a Telsa part number) ANY half decent 12v vehicle battery that fits the physical frame of the holder would work for years. No need to ship in...

But Tesla do have an option to refund the money received until the cars are ready. I'd do this if i'd promised a delivery and was then unexpectedly not able to deliver. Better still, I'd make damn sure I was ready before asking for money.

Whilst it may be true the battery is a deep cycle I doubt very much that the DC-DC converter waits for the voltage to drop significantly before kicking in. Lead acid always prefers to be fully charged

Yes - I'd take that as well! However, whilst the 12v battery needs replacing might be true I refuse to believe that the whole battery batch was bad and its more likely that it was a symptom of some other issue. Perhaps the cars were not put into deep sleep for the journey and vampire drain...

The whole Tesla website is a mess. Always has been in my experience.

Yes - Ill take that if it was offered. 12v battery = 5min replacement, I'd even go out and buy a spare and put it in the car just in case.

This 12v battery issue is pathetic from so many points of view. 1) why have so many failed simultaneously 2) why has Tesla 0 spares. ( I've been told only 1 vehicle has been shipped to a Sydney customer. 3) Why 2 weeks to get replacements The fact is now Tesla have all our money. I'm not happy...

I've been delayed to 16 september. (Alleged 12v battery issue). What a load of codswallop. I've asked for the funds to be reimbursed until the car is available. I'm sick of being fobbed off with useless excuses.

Just got a call from Tesla. Delivery for Friday (sydney) has been cancelled. Apparently due to vehicle not been completed detailing. Now its "sometime next week" Ho hum patience patience... however now the vehicle is fully paid for!

Got my call from the delivery people today. Paid invoice and sent back rego stuff. Pick up Friday, 'nuff said?!
