    How Many Roadsters are Left?

Hi, fellow roadster owners. I've got #951, 2010 2.0, currently ~45k miles. This has been my daily ride ~every day since 12/31/12 .Back when Tesla's stock was ~33. Today it's 1349. I love this car. I hurt #951 last January in a rare SoCal rainstorm, but Javier Ramirez fixed it good as new. Except...

    Roadster parts?

Does anyone know where I can get a plastic front lip and a metal bottom front pan? Given how close to the ground these parts sit, Tesla has to know Roadster owners will need replacement parts, especially on a 10 year old car that actually gets driven. Weren't we promised that these cars would...

    Roadster Service E-Mail

I just got this email. I've owned this car since 2012 and bought it from Tesla (who sold an S to the guy who traded it in). So that's what this is, an offer for $26k? Surely they jest.

Los Angeles area service for roadsters

Ok, related issue: Out of stock parts, maybe permanently unavailable. I need a mudflap, and a cup holder. Anyone know where to get them? Like something made by a 3-D printer, maybe?

Thanks, da2NY! Your car looks like my car's twin!

Los Angeles area service for roadsters

Tesla seems to be a victim, along with its early adopters, of its own success. When I 1st bought my car, service was done at the W. LA facility, then roadster service moved to Centinela, then to Torrance. Now service has moved yet again, this time to Pomona, and I told by Anthony Medina that...

Repeated TPMS failures on a 2.0 Roadster with 44k miles

Hi Peter, I'm guessing you have a 2.0. Supposedly the 2.0s are known for these TPMS issues, and the errors are largely due to old/unused parts they for some reason continue to impose on us. They should just automatically replace every single TPMS on every 2.0 they service with an actually...

Repeated TPMS failures on a 2.0 Roadster with 44k miles

Hi Shawn, Yeah, I should ask what brand these TPMSes are, and ask for the old parts as well as the packaging of the "new" replacement parts so I can start monitoring this debacle more closely. I'm reasonably sure these guys will say anything --especially to a woman, who they assume knows...

Repeated TPMS failures on a 2.0 Roadster with 44k miles

It's way worse than that. My details above are wrong. 6/15, driver's side front. 12/15, driver's side front again, and passenger rear. 12/16, passenger front and passenger rear again. That's 5, 2 of them twice, which is crazy for a car as old/low mileage as mine. This time a couple weeks ago, I...

2010 2.0 Roadster won't reverse or even work in neutral gear

Now they're telling me (this is Ricardo from Torrance) that the problem is old parts that they believed were not old because they were unused. Now, however, they've come to realize that even unused parts that sit on a shelf in a warehouse still age and become unreliable, and their testing...

2010 2.0 Roadster won't reverse or even work in neutral gear

A little concerning? Yeah,. I think that's an understatement. The 24/7 hotline (who you call when your car is missing a caliper bolt and won't go in reverse and needs towing) doesn't even know WHO services roadsters, let alone how to do it. In SoCal, only Torrance services roadsters. So why...

Repeated TPMS failures on a 2.0 Roadster with 44k miles

Thanks for your reply. Yes it's a 2.0. I'm getting 4 new TPMSs tomorrow, but it sounds like I can expect future failures of these new ones. Do you remember when/where you heard of these problems?

Repeated TPMS failures on a 2.0 Roadster with 44k miles

Bought my Roadster in Dec. 2012 with 19k miles on it. I drive it nearly every day but have only put 25k miles on it in 5+ years. Since I've owned it I've replaced 3 of the 4 tire pressure monitor sensors, and have even had to replace 1 of them a second time, only 1 mos. after it had just been...

2010 2.0 Roadster won't reverse or even work in neutral gear

Hi gwagen27, I'd be happy to discuss my service experiences (at W.LA, Centinela, and now Torrance) over the past 5+ years. Feel free to call me during business hours at 323-467-2200. Best, Pamela

2010 2.0 Roadster won't reverse or even work in neutral gear

You were right, Mlauto, it was a missing caliper bolt, which Tesla has now replaced, and all is well again. Best, Pamela

2010 2.0 Roadster won't reverse or even work in neutral gear

Many thanks, Mlauto. You're right, new rear brake pads (and rotors, and a brake flush) all happened 2 months ago, all done by Tesla at my annual maintenance.

2010 2.0 Roadster won't reverse or even work in neutral gear

I hope so too! This car is my daily ride, so I'll be Lyfting until Tesla can deal with this brake issue. Hopefully brakes are less expensive than gear boxes. Also, I encountered what seems to be a recurring problem servicing the car. I had 3 Tesla customer service reps and 2 towing company reps...

2010 2.0 Roadster won't reverse or even work in neutral gear

Just got towed, and yes, it was put in neutral to get it on the flat bed. On further inspection, it looks like my rear passenger brake assembly has gotten loose and the wheels lock up to prevent more damage.

2010 2.0 Roadster won't reverse or even work in neutral gear

No warning lights are going on, either. The gear indicator indicates I'm in these gears, but the car's wheels just won't move. The car's stuttered and stopped abruptly when reversing for the past few days, but now won't reverse at all. So now I'm waiting for a tow truck. Has anyone experienced...

LA to Vegas in a roadster

Hi, I'm driving from LA to Vegas in my roadster on 9/27 and I've got "range anxiety." I've got the Recargo app on my phone and have called Tesla customer service to find the charging stations but am wondering if anyone has done this drive recently and knows what high-powered / J1772 chargers are...

Certified Pre-Owned Roadsters (sold by Tesla)

Has anyone bought one, and if so, what's the experience been? My main concern is that the 2 cars I'm looking hardest at have both been serviced more than a dozen times in 2-3 years. and even subtracting the annual check ups and the 1 recall, that seems like too many times. I'm not looking for a...

I need to gripe to a tesla exec...any suggestions?

I'm currently contemplating buying a CPO roadster, and I'm being told that if the car I want DOES have a current warranty, they would honor it through its term. Tesla also tells me they'll supply 1 year extended service for any CPO roadster. - - - Updated - - - Hey there, I'm currently...
