The hydro meter is on, but the stalls look only 99% assembled. I figure whoever left them this way planned to come back pretty soon. Looks like a handy location. Minimal fuss getting on/off the 401.

Fortis and Tesla crews are monitoring this thread, ready to turn on the power as soon as someone here guesses the real reason for the delay.

The new hydro pole doesn't appear to be connected to the grid yet. Can't be sure that's what the pole is for, but that might need to happen before anyone can charge.

I don't know but sometimes a transformer looks almost exactly like that green cabinet behind the white cabinets next to the building.

Obviously Fortis tracks the number of eager phone calls they get from non-customers about each upcoming project or task, so they can prioritize them accordingly. But do they prioritize the ones with the most calls, or the fewest?

Provided we keep reminding one another to visit the site every 15 minutes, I think the expected sequence is (1) meter installed (2) one of us notices the meter is installed and reports it here (3) charging station starts working (4) one of us notices the charging station is working and reports...

I don't know what all the impatience is about. In post #29 the message from Canadian Tire said "should be up and running mid to late October" and it's not even mid October yet.

The week isn't over yet... but there is still no meter.

FWIW I charged my 3 SR+ here twice yesterday and everything seemed normal. I didn't pay especially close attention, but in both cases I preconditioned, arrived with ~30%, used the stall closest to the street, and (according to my account history) got >100 kW for 2 minutes.

To be fair, the sign says "1 hour parking" and there is at least one empty stall, so just based on the picture, nobody's charging speed/access was affected and no rule was broken. Giving a 1-star review over an inconvenience that could have happened, but didn't? Meh.

Can confirm FLO stalls are live, Supercharger stalls are not.

There is no meter and no transformer. In the pictures above you can see a concrete pad surrounded by yellow bollards currently being used to store some fencing sections. Legend has it that's where the transformer will appear when it appears. I'm no expert but it looks to me like the underground...

Checked April 3. Still looks identical to January 29, but without snow. Probability of opening in May has decreased from 50% to 49.9̅%.

Checked again on March 13. Still no visible changes since January 29.

Looked for evidence of progress today, but saw none.

Given that you're stopped at a place that has CCS but no SC in this scenario, 100 kW is infinity times faster than a 250 kW charger that doesn't exist. Opposite of a problem!

I wouldn't recommend cutting the wires. If the noise statistically reduces harm, we should do it. "They cannot say they were not warned" though? Ew. It's our responsibility as drivers to avoid hitting people. Earbuds, deaf, drunk, sleeping, babies, whatever.

Changing the service is such a big deal I wouldn't even bother asking about the cost (let alone complaining). I would ask an electrician about installing a 208-to-240 step-up transformer between the panel and the charger, though. The transformer itself is probably under $500. If you do look into...

If the car reads 208V on a 240V circuit, something is terribly wrong. If that happens at 6A, you can pinpoint the problem by turning up to 32A. Whatever the problem was, it should now be on fire.
