2015 P90D Model S Dying Unable To Drive Out of Power With 4% (8 miles) Charge Remaining

I just had a similar experience. I have a 2013 Model S 60, just hit 170k miles. I'm the original owner so I'm used to managing the range. But, this week, I was navigating to a supercharger (only 30 miles away with 60 miles on the car- but up some slope), and my nav system said I would make...

    9 Years Gone

I agree. My MS is 2013 and has over 140K miles on it. Had a few warranty problems but still the best car I ever owned. I've thought about upgrading, but it's paid off and still runs great so why bother. My only regret is not buying the same amount Tesla stock as I spend on the car. If I...

Experiences with Model S beyond 100K, 200K miles...

I have a 2013 Model S 60 with 125K. It was an early one and from what I hear build quality got significantly better, but I haven't had too many issues given over 7 years for driving. Early on, I had a couple of warranty repairs (usually they just did stuff when it went in for the normal...

    Problem servicing older vehicles?

I had a similar experience with my 7 year old Tesla (2013 Model S 60), same problem out of warranty. I had to have the car towed the service Center on a Sunday. I had trouble getting someon on the phone Monday morning to confirm they were taking care of the car. Similarly, they fixed it in a...

    2020.4

Honestly, my Voice Commands got worse with 2020.4.1. Lot's of no connections, and now it get stuck with a couple of words then it hangs. I'm in a 2013 Model S 60. The text message reading is a nice feature though. I'm hoping they fix the voice commands in the next update.

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

I was told, when they needed to replace my S 60 battery that if they couldn't source another 60 battery and they put in a bigger one; they would not cap it, and you just get the upgrade for free. They found a 60 for me, but it looks like that is what happened in this case.

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

Interesting. They are replacing my battery, so maybe it was failing either way and I would have gotten a warning even before the software update that reduced my range. Who knows?

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

I'll add a theory to this thread. I think they may have also increased the software's sensitivity to battery issues. I recieved a warning last week "Acceleration Decreased" and a note to see a service center. My car a 2013 Model S 60 with 115K miles on it) is there now, and I was just...
