Sd cards are just sd cards.... unless tesla preloads it with something , it's not going to do anything different. You wont mess anything up inserting a blank sd card in, so I would try it.

Yes create a ticket saying your car wont update. They will remotely allow an over the air update and your updates will start rolling in. The first update on many of the cars are not working for some reason.
