Ok, it actually worked. I opened the frunk, put the remote right next to the escape light and spammed it. Only took 2 or 3 presses before it was recognised. Thank you for the help, I never expected that would be what's required to make it work, but hey its working!

I would concur with you, from 1pm until 5:45pm I was speaking with Carways and Tesla about my car (or lack thereof). It was supposed to be delivered at 9am but didn't show up, Carways confirmed it was not with them and they contacted Telsa and found that it was still in Sydney and not yet ready...

I had my VIN prior to it arriving in Australia. I believe it was provided once it was on the ship but might have been earlier as I was in the first batch where they made cars expecting a certain demand level and then allocated as needed.

Well James from Carways has been a big help, while my car won't be delivered to Canberra until Monday now it's at least in the system correctly. I might be able to drive to Sydney and pick it up tomorrow - he's confirming.

I can say already I do, my drill is super old and the battery lasts less than a minute - definitely not strong enough for drilling metal! Plus not sure of spacing for the Tesla Number Plate holders

Sorry, I should add - if you're like me and have a number plate already - they won't help with attaching it. We'll need to organise adding holes to the fresh new plate ourselves.
