    Tesla Software updates - Australia

So I tried out the lights detection today on Ballarat Rd since its a horribly congested, traffic light filled nightmare with equally angry drivers and honestly, I was reasonably impressed. Pretty much detected every set of lights well and from a distance, it slowed down to a proper stop and it...

    Did prices just go up?

Car manufacturers always change their prices constantly. Reflecting the current market, exchange rate, service and delivery costs, etc. Its just that we can easily access Tesla's prices compared to other manufactuers. But yes, it appears to have slightly gone up.

Green said its coming soon. I wonder if thats the reason the update was pulled.

    Supercharger - Moonee Ponds, Vic

Tested it today, works great. Full bars. Took awhile to move from 3G though after entering.

No satellite maps/Tesla theatre in SR+

Ouch. Some people managed to get it last quarter on an update, it just suddenly appeared in their car but now I'm thinking either. a) it was a gift and its there to stay. b) it is a bug and may eventually be removed.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

DAB is higher quality and doesn't have the same punch as FM. Therefore its going to dropout more. Works fine in major metro areas. And thats it.

    Can not pay 41 cents

Tesla's payment gateway (atleast in Australia) Is a godawful broken horrible system. I had to try many times to get the card added on my account and had to try multiple cards, it seems to only want to use credit cards as well.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Yep, seems like the big rollouts began.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Usually its the slow start of a few cars to then stop. Then increase to around 10% and then another stop and then out to everyone. Most people think its Tesla has found a bug which sometimes happens but they just make sure that everything's fine and then push to everyone when it seems okay. Its...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Seems fine for me, cars are still upgrading so the rollout hasn't been pulled.

    DAB is here

DAB is here. I know some people were desperate for it and it's now here in 2020.8.1 Works well, its under Radio > Stations tab. It's not in a seperate section. It'll say DAB in the top left of the card when it's in use

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Nope, mines still there. Maybe the dashcam isn't working properly. Sentry mode will still appear even without it being correctly connected afaik since its not only for recording but using the interior microphones to detect glass breaking making it a fancy alarm. Check your drive.

    Navigate On Autopilot in Australia

It reduces speed for me if its a corner like it does when its continuing on the freeway but if its a straight road it doesnt decrease speed, maybe should decrease to 60 after it arrives at the exit.

    Navigate On Autopilot in Australia

Navigate on Autopilot is working even better for me, I've been now available to keep on No Authorised Lane change, I decided to turn off speed based lane changes since it was getting a bit annoying how commonly it was jumping lanes even on the lower settings. Sometimes it would move when its...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I have just been informed I hurt the feelings of the car. Therefore I am declaring it was the perfect car. Maaaaaaybe just need less of a lead foot.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Eek, I've used about 180wh/km average on my Performance+ with around 2600km's Although that may be due to me smashing it around roads in the Dandenongs.. and Daylesford... and Apollo Bay... and the freeway.. Maybe this wasn't the right car for me.

    Navigate On Autopilot in Australia

I've noticed some weird behavior with NoA while using no confirmation lane change and confirmation lane change and I have reason to believe that No Confirmation is bugged. Even though no confirmation lane change is on to ignore the speed settings and go straight to Mad Max, I tested this by...

    Supercharger - Moonee Ponds, Vic

Tesla usually gives a code on your screen when you press on the supercharger to get more info, otherwise, buzzing security will usually get you in.

    Navigate On Autopilot in Australia

New update 2019.40.50.7 has a vast improvement on Navigate on Autopilot, not only is lane changes generally good now its also taking exits and interchanges very well. Very impressed and glad to see it improved.

    Premium Connectivity Charges

It doesn't appear to be in Australia yet. It would be interesting to see if they bring it here for those stuck on SR+ in the future.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

They are definitely collecting some data. Heres my uploads since I've had my car. 1.42GB is the downloads which are a mix of Software Updates and a tiny bit of Spotify. I've only done around 2,332km on the car and assuming there's only around 400-500km on autopilot that's around 1.12MB of...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

New update apparently according to Teslafi. 2019.40.2.5 TeslaFi.com Firmware Tracker 2019.40.2.5 It says its older due to the version number but no one has installed it except for now all of a sudden? Possible fix in Australia/Europe bugs. Based on these screenshots it appears to have the...

    Tesla St Leonards to close

Yeah, I guess aligning it up with registration data would help with that. Heres the map link by the way. Tesla's Across Australia - Google My Maps Then again if Tesla is going to include a Supercharger with the Service Center, it would likely be in a high traffic area for Teslas as well as...

    Tesla St Leonards to close

Haha, all well and good. It seems to match up pretty well based on locations I've heard of on this forum although there is still a few major problems with the data and map. It is very bias to larger suburbs since Teslas drive longer in them It doesnt show hotspots very well in the map I'm...

    Tesla St Leonards to close

I've added a map of the data in Sydney, its the best I can do for now, when I get some more time I'll use Tesla and registration data to create a more defined map. However I still believe Tesla will use this data, since its not just where Tesla's are registered at or based at, its where they...

    Tesla St Leonards to close

Not really, Tesla readily give this information out on their carbon impact site. Carbon Impact | Tesla Australia Tesla gives out the amount of CO2 saved by Tesla owners and gives an idea or where the most Tesla's are. Its not exact but it gives a reasonable estimate. Now we have our data, so I...

    How Good is Solar Power?

Took a quick Google search but here you go. Looks like it 5kW limit only for single phase, three-phase has some other great benefits too.

    Model 3 Accessories

You shouldn't have to worry about a passenger using the emergency release, just don't make it a habit. The reason Tesla doesn't recommend it is because it forces the door open no matter what, if the vehicle happens to be without power, it will force open the door without pulling the windows down...

How good are Tesla’s in Australia’s extreme heat?

You aren't able to control it from the wheel no, that is exclusive to the driver display. I find the best way to change the temperature is just to hold down on the temperature and then move your finger to the left for cooler and right for hotter. Then just let go and it set, much easier.

Make a service request in the Tesla app for Software Update, Tesla should message you and then your able to cancel the appointment. I recieved my update within 12hrs of getting my Tesla delivered.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I believe it was only pulled in Australia. Was downloading around 7AM this morning and it suddenly stopped while sitting in the car and hasn't come back. Same thing happened to a friend. Hopefully they've fixed the issues and the rollout begins again

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

The update has appeared to be pulled. Apparently it was very buggy and they rolled it out too quickly. The bugs that I heard of were. Navigate on Autopilot no confirmation lane change didn't work. Voice commands didn't/barely work. The new music easter egg crashed the OS. A few other misc...

How good are Tesla’s in Australia’s extreme heat?

Does perfectly well, no issues whatsoever. It was around 46-47 degrees all day in Melbourne on Friday and the car handled it like a pro. No idea why people are saying the A/C is under powered, seems to work perfectly well and is pretty efficient.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Trying to purchase FSD but it seems that the Australian payment system is down? Cant add my card under Australia as it just gives me and error and when I put it down under another country like UK/US it adds the card however I still cant purchase FSD. Anyone else having this issue?
  43. tessiestraya

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

For those who have the FSD upgrade. What do you think of it, is it worth it? The feature I'm looking for the most is using the indicators to change lanes while using autosteer and hopefully NoA in the future.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

It is really weird, they changed every single picture according to the md5 of them but.. they are all still left-hand drive except some. Seems like it was very rushed and was just done to have the mandatory Australian government safety information. Probably was asked by them to do it by the...

Driving Melbourne to Brisbane in 45 Celcius heat

Driving around today and it was around 42 to around 45 in the bush areas away from the coast, no issues with the aircon. I noticed it was much less noisy and more stable with setting it to 22 degrees instead of 21 degrees which was interesting.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I was looking at the Model 3 manual before picking up the car tomorrow and I noticed there was an Australian version, correct me if I'm wrong but I've only seen the North American version. I compared the files and there seem to be a reasonable amount of changes, mostly just imperial to metric...

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

It is ridiculous that Tesla didnt even seem to care about their reservation holders. Considering you still haven't got a delivery date is absolutely ridiculous. I wonder what the record is for the shortest time from Order > Delivery. Mine is 64 days at the moment, started from deposit paid at...
