Phantom slow spot on 65mph highway?!

Last weekend my wife and I were on Highway 4 driving westbound on autopilot near the border with Antioch and Brentwood, CA going 70 mph on a 65 mph highway. with no car in front of us the Model X slammed on the brakes as if it was coming to a stop on the highway. It scared the crap out of us...

3D MAXpider - Kagu Floor Mats With Tesla Logo

I have yet to find a website selling 3d Maxpider floor mats for a 5 seater Model X that says it will fit a 2020 Model X. Why can't they update the model years for fitment? I am guessing 2020 is same as 2019 but would like that assurance when ordering. Has anyone seen 2020 on these mats?

    Rando-braking

I have it happen on Highway 24 in number 4 lane when driving west from the Caldecott Tunnel near the Broadway offramp. speed limit suddenly shows 50 mph on the dash. I then accelerate until speed limit shows 65 again. Started turning AP off since getting off at next exit. AP is still great to...

Wiki Model X Order/Delivery Tracking - Google Sheet

Ordered Model X long range in San Diego, CA in October 12, 2019. Received text message from Tesla on November 24th to schedule pick up in Fremont on November 25th. I rescheduled and picked it up November 26th. I have been driving it in rush hour traffic to work on autopilot and it is such an...

    Motorcyclist Hostility

I used to commute in CA on my crotch rocket to work every day except when raining or dark. Splitting lanes was never really a problem of space for me if car, trucks, or even truck trucks stayed centered. Maybe the Harley style bikes need more space but that is their issue. No need to smack a...

Did AP follow distance change with update?

I ordered a Model X mainly for rush hour stop and go traffic. Reading this thread makes me think it will be no better than driving my wife's much less expensive Prius Prime on adaptive cruise control. I hate when it leaves a gap in front that encourages cut ins and pisses off the driver behind...

    Tesla delivery times

They should prioritize CA orders to deliver as many as they can before 12/3. That is a lot of money people would lose. Too bad the state sprung this on us like that.

I'd like to order today, but get a 2020 model X

I ordered mine October 12th. Based on your timeline I should get my VIN in a week. Pretty exciting. I can finally set up financing and insurance. Then all I have to do is wait until I can drive it home from Fremont. Please post when you have delivery date. I should be a week behind you. Thanks...

Idea regarding Auto Pilot and lane-splitting motorcycles: Auto Move Over

I am pretty sure lane splitting is only legal in California. I don't know why other states don't allow it at least in daylight hours. I rode my motorcycle in Georgia in summer during rush hour once. It was not fun. I could have had heat stroke since I always wore a jacket for protection. Back...

Idea regarding Auto Pilot and lane-splitting motorcycles: Auto Move Over

Only the big cruiser/Harley style bikes really need cars to move over. I never had problems getting through on my crotch rocket as long as cars are centered in their lanes.

What rating did you do to wire your HPWC, and should you future-proof?

I don't see any mention of GFCI in these posts. I know the thread is about wire size, but dont garages require all outlets to be protected by GFCI? I don't see any 14-50 GFCI outlets for sale anywhere so it must be installed using GFCI circuit breaker.

    Tesla delivery times

    FSD increasing by $1K 11/1/19

I agree and like your post. I just ordered my MX yesterday. I paid the $6,000 for the ESP as a reason I bought Tesla. I love what it can do already and am looking forward to more capabilities. On road trips, I am usually driving and like the thought of being able to look around at the scenery a...

    Tesla delivery times

I just ordered my MX today in San Diego, CA and was told my delivery would be delayed because all MX's are going to Europe. I think you will be getting yours soon.
