Features I had to give up when I bought a Tesla

I agree will your assessment of the Lexus RX 350. My wife still drives ours. We've had HUD in the RX 350 for several years and I love that feature too, particularly when the next navigation turn pops up with a mini-map in the HUD. I also like that the current speed is displayed right next...

Features I had to give up when I bought a Tesla

True enough. But we don't really have autonomy yet. For me, I am half-terrified while I'm monitoring AutoPark, because I just can't swivel my head fast enough to see what is happening. With a Birds Eye View, it's trivially easy to see how you'll fit on all sides at once, like watching a...

Features I had to give up when I bought a Tesla

Yes, I do have my phone linked and it works fine ducking the volume, sharing calendar, contacts etc. All that works great. But that isn't the same thing as buffering the audio from the Tesla entertainment system. In my Lexus, I could pause the radio broadcast during a call, and then resume...

Features I had to give up when I bought a Tesla

Yes, I completely agree. I'm not complaining about Tesla at all. One nit though, re Bird's Eye View..... the data is not there now, so it isn't possible to add this capability with just a software change. It will take a hardware change to get acceptable camera views. Tesla's cameras...

Raven Model S - Front Motor Whine

Yes, mine is the same as described by others; a very high pitched motor whine. I only notice it when the radio is off, but it is definitely there. I can even modulate it on or off with pedal pressure when I'm at just the right speed. Maybe my hearing isn't good enough to be bothered by it...

Features I had to give up when I bought a Tesla

The RTCA saved me a couple of times. Another good catch for features I'll miss.

Features I had to give up when I bought a Tesla

Exactly.... It's incredibly easy and works very well, unlike most car navigation systems that don't tolerate deviations from the spelling in their database.

    Ha! Too long to list!

Features I had to give up when I bought a Tesla

Yes, that's a very good catch, and I do miss them those features as well.

Features I had to give up when I bought a Tesla

I love my new Model S, and it has been the most fun I've had in a car since I was a teenager. But I'm still learning to live without a few things my previous car offered (Lexus RX350 loaded with options). 1) Bird's Eye View Camera -- Without a doubt, this is the number one feature I'd love...

how to add profile picture and contact administrator?

Thanks for the help. I eventually got permission to add a profile pic. Now I'm trying to get permission to add a signature. I've searched quite a bit for details on how to actually participate in this forum (e.g post counts for various privileges) . I haven't found a comprehensive source...

high pitched whistle sounds from Raven Model S Performance

I have the same issue in my Sep 2019 Model S Raven Long Range. It bothers my wife more than it bothers me, because her hearing is better than mine. I have also noticed that I can modulate it with very slight changes in power/speed (let up very slightly in power and it'll go away, add power...

    100% = 370 rated miles? Or not ....

For what it's worth, I also have a Sept build Long Range, and I have very nearly the same results as PDX. The first couple of charges (always charged to 80%), I got 296 miles indicated, which would extrapolate to exactly 370 miles at 100% charge, as expected. But over the next 2000 miles or...

how to add profile picture and contact administrator?

Apparently it is still required to post a number of times before adding a profile pic. But as a brand new member, I can't find any way to modify text in my profile either. Apologies in advance for the useless posts I'll be making to get permission to edit my own profile. Perhaps 8 will be...
