Having ordered on Oct 10 from San Jose, and being given an ETA of Dec 27 as recently as two days ago, while others who ordered as little as a week ago across the other side of the country take deliveries, I suspect you may be placing too much emphasis on date ordered and not enough on distance...

This whole “last two weeks of December” thing is kind of crazy. Those last two weeks (at least from the 21st on) are probably the most likely period in the year that customers can not pick up a car.

I once ordered a BMW trim that wasn’t in stock and it took 2.5 months to arrive from Germany. But at least I had a steady stream of updates on it’s progress from manufacture, then even real-time shipping updates on a map as it made it’s way over the ocean, (that part was actually kind of fun).

I just updated my order from an SR+ to a LR. I tried finding out if it would affect my delivery date negatively (by effectively making my order date today instead of the original Oct 10th), but haven’t had a response yet. Wondering if I just lost my place in the queue.
