California bans per-minute billing; Tesla Superchargers will need displays

How about a simple sign that just says Tesla member charging only. Then it's not 'the public'.

Finding it hard to remain passionate about Tesla

... and after you pay the membership fee, finding out that you're only allowed in as a waiter or caddy, because you didn't buy shares back in the day.

Finding it hard to remain passionate about Tesla

I signed a sales contract with a warranty, not a lease. I own the car, and I don't have a sense of humour about that. The superchargers are good, but were put in a year later than promised when I bought the car. I also don't have a sense of humour about companies lying to make a sale. The...

Blog Study Shows Impressive Resale Value for Model 3

I did a quick study of my own, in Canada: 2020 BMW I3 $70,000 2018 BMW I3 $60,000 2020 Model 3 $78,000 2018 Model 3 $62,000 1. I don't see how the 3 year depreciation 'study' could produce meaningful results for a Model 3 car that wasn't available in quantity until one year before the 'study'...

Blog Study Shows Impressive Resale Value for Model 3

I'd have to disagree that comparing the new price of a lower priced model that has had several price reductions, to used price of a variety of models and options that once had a large subsidy, is anything like a 'study' I made my own 'study' of Kijiji in Canada, lots of Model 3 AWD Longrange...

MASTER THREAD: Powering house or other things with Model 3

It's more than just for convenience if it's thirty-nine C below zero outside and the house heating system controls are electric. But yes, a small emergency generator could run the critical items without also eventually disabling the evacuation vehicle. Some plugin hybrids like the Outlander...

MASTER THREAD: Powering house or other things with Model 3

To operate some of the electrics and electronics in the event that the main battery is disabled - i.e. so that main fuse blown at highway speed does not equal no power to steering, headlights, airbags, etc.

    Supercharger - Strathmore, AB

The 2021 RAV4 PHEV. Our Model 3 LR is sufficient for getting around Drumheller too, but that's not a feat that the EV1 couldn't have accomplished. I was (perhaps willingly) mislead into believing it would be much better for going to other places ("supercharger 'coming soon in 2018' so should...

    Supercharger - Strathmore, AB

Dropped by there last night, charger lights still off. One would hope they'll have these up for Christmas and New Years, or it's going to be the old pickup truck again. Then a RAV4 next year, I've had enough of this.

    SuperCharger - North Bay, ON

I'd guess damage during snow removal much more than damage due to inadequate snow removal, over unseen pickup trucks, before jumping to any conclusions. You'd be surprised how many EV owners in the west are waiting a 'a couple of weeks' that's become over a year, for any superchargers _at all_...

    Supercharger - Bassano, AB

Are any of the new 250 KW chargers in Canada powered up? The ones in Strathmore were all dark last time we checked.

    Supercharger - Bassano, AB

Doesn't look like any of the 250 KW chargers in Canada have been hooked up yet. They may be resolving some technical issue, to keep the Magic Smoke inside the big white boxes.
