I don't think close button is the only reason to get cables there.

Not 100% sure, but seems with 40.50.1 display stopped showing parked cars. It sure shows trash cans much better than cars at curb.

I assume it's done in stages. First - local client is trying to recognize the command. If it fails it is sent to the cloud and processed there. At least that's how I would implement it... As for Alexa - first, it doesn't have enough local computing power to process any question completely...

All this is correct. Still no Favorites. Even tried to "Forget" and "Pair" the phone a couple of times. :( Resolved. With my wife's phone favorites are shown. Means it's not Tesla, it's my phone. It's company phone with some security policies, that (I guess) prevents favorites from being shared...

Don't think server load is a problem. Tesla obviously uses some cloud service from Amazon, Azure or whatever, which can handle much heavier load... There are way more Alexa users than Tesla drivers.

Some weird problems: 1. Car doesn't show "Favorites". Enabled on the phone, All checked on car bluetooth options. Have "Messages", Recent", "Contacts" and "Dialer". iPhone XR. 2. Doesn't send replies - ignores tap on screen and steering wheel right button (Message from voice recognized and...

The teslaoffer frunk I received is v2. No emergency pull cable. Installation didn't go well. Hood doesn't close completely, leaving a gap of about 4"... :( Waiting for tech support response...

Tip for DIY. If need to put back the original struts, it's really hard to remove the new ones at the bottom, especially on the driver side. Unscrew the whole bracket (2 bolts).

Going to install frunk. Found 2 unlisted parts i the box - top holders for struts. Any idea why? Do I need to replace the originals? Recall some post about the original balls are getting worn out fast with new struts...

Anybody tried to drill a hole and use the rubber washer to get cables from struts into the trunk area?

Right now they have special - $750 all 4 doors. BTW: I feel stupid - got the trunk yesterday - ordered 4 days ago. Started installation and went to their website for video to find out that now the special price is $200 less than I payed... Trying to get the difference back. Do they answer...

What about TeslaOffer Soft closing doors? Anybody tried?
