Not sure what Tesla's criteria are, but they keep showing lack of understanding of Texas. Both Hillsborough and West (in the Slovacec's lot!) would have been better choices. But I will take Abbott compared to no Abbott.

Tesla is already directing us to go around Austin when traveling on I-35 (e.g. DFW to San Antonio or back), based on a recent trip. This will be the icing on the cake. P.S. The I-35 supercharger in Austin is one of the worst locations in all of the supercharger network. Whoever put it there...

Excellent! Charged twice on a recent trip, initial speeds of over 500 m/hr. Collin Street Bakery is a gem, not just for the free coffee. My second visit was on a Sunday night and the bakery was closed, but a short walk to the nearby gas station was easy for a few refreshments/restroom.

Just charged at 940m per hour at 22% state of charge. 230 kw. Just wow.

Short answer, 3 performance. Obvious point, but what prices are you considering for the two choices? (It may make a huge difference, including considering a new Model 3 performance or stealth, instead of used).

Not crazy, do it! The route is well covered by superchargers, and quite scenic (by my taste).

Did you make it straight from Ft. Worth to Fredericksburg via Glen Rose? That is my traditional way of getting there, but have not tried it in an EV. How fast did you drive, what was your state of charge at arrival?

How did you get to Fredericksburg/back to Dallas? What route did you take?

You won't. If you start with 10% less, you'll supercharge eventually 10% more, at some lower state of charge, if you need to cover a distance equal or greater than battery capacity.

I am going on a road trip and am wondering, which one is more damaging to the battery -- slow charging to 100% at home, or slow charging only to 90% but then supercharging extra 10% than otherwise? I understand that both charging to 100% as well as supercharging have negative effects on battery...

Drove by it today. There were several trucks and workers. A worker was painting a door, and others were working on landscaping. No idea what it means. I hope it means that it will open at some point.
