Regen setting is set to standard. I don't think the eGolf combined regen and normal braking from what I could tell, but I could be wrong.
I have driven it hard through canyons and the regen works like a charm there. It's like the last few mph when it has the unevenness.
Zhu-, I think that...
My settings are as follows:
Acceleration: Sport
Steering: Sport
Driving Mode: Hold (have had it this way since I got it)
I think I just need to get used to it. I’ve gotten used to the acceleration now, but it took a few months.
My goal is to not have to feather the throttle. The one pedal driving I'm very use to coming from the eGolf (not exactly 1 pedal as you have to hit the brakes to make it stay in place). It's just the last bit of the re-gen that always trips me up, either I have too much velocity and overshoot or...
Hi all,
I saw a recent post on "braking feel of the Model 3" and this is a bit on the other side of braking on the Model 3, the re-gen braking. I had two very different cars before my P3D+, a 335i and an eGolf.
The regen braking on the eGolf was predictable, you could predict where it would...
This is actually fascinating. I've looked up a few different sources for dictionaries and MW is the only one that defines "insure" that way. Every other dictionary defines "insure" to be related with insurance with monetary significance and "ensure" to the definition you provided.
In fact, even...
230 kWh/mi on a P3D+ on the highway over 65 miles through a hilly area.
It doesn't sound like much, but the average I usually get is around 330 kWh/mi.
I'm not an expert, but I have owned 2 electric cars now, so I have some experience.
If you can, spring for the LR, the range is totally worth it by itself. You'll also get the speaker system and AWD. Range anxiety is a real thing and the larger battery helps a lot. It's kinda like buying a TV...
I do not work at Tesla, but I work in supply chain. Once a part is deemed not good enough (quality, obsolescence, etc) parts are scrapped usually via an ECO. At that point the part becomes useless for both the manufacturer and the buyer (in this case Tesla). It is then scrapped at cost to either...
As a car magazine they are supposed to test the car to it's limits. This is a good case study for us to understand what happens when the car is managed this way.
As for the battery capacity, I have seen anywhere from 75-80kWh listed in many different places. I don't think Tesla actually...
This would be plausible since each 25kWh gives roughly 100 miles. Adding another 25kWh would land the range right around the 405 that is being rumored.
I have different problem. My car starts dialing the last person I called in the car when I used the voice command to dial it. Every time I get into the car it just keeps trying dial. It’s not so fun when you’re leaving for work early in the morning and it calls your friend.
I think those loud thunks are coming from the battery disconnecting or something. It's supposed to be normal based on what I have read online. Here is a repost of it.
"I got curious and did some searching and over on the Tesla.com site going back months there were reports of a thunking sound...
It might be a result of they way you have your insurance setup. The deductibles, coverage, etc. Unless you have any accidents or points on your record.
It is like nothing else. Just omg.
My neighbor has a M4 and I’m pretty sure he’s looking into the P3D+ After driving mine.
Next up, my neighbor down the street that owns a McLaren....
Going to Fremont to pick it up. I had to go home to pick up the trade-in. I spent most of the morning hanging out there lol
So excited! I hope everyone gets their cars soon!!!
So I’m waiting at the delivery center to see if they can give me my car today. They’re checking to see if they have bandwidth. I’m off today so nothing better to do lol
am I excited or what lol
That's a joke right "I kid". I wonder if we will get the option to upgrade our battery packs to 100 kWh like the P90D S & X owners did a few years ago when the 100 kWh packs came out.
So I called Tesla and they set my delivery date for Thursday from 2-4pm (home delivery). I was hoping to get it before Christmas :(
I'm gonna call them again tomorrow morning to see if they can squeeze me in tomorrow.
I decoded my VIN and it says that it's "C = Base A/C Motor, Tier 2 Battery (31-40 kWh)". This is from Teslatap, my assumption is that the decoder isn't updated, but can someone else check their VIN on there to see if it says the same thing?
Also, I’m setup for home delivery. The guy said that as soon as it’s done, they’ll load them up from the factory and deliver it straight to my house. Which is kinda neat, but I also wanted the experience of going in to pick up my car. Either way, I just want my damn car!!!!
I called Tesla to get an update. They said my car would be finishing production Sunday night and would be ready to pick up on the 26th. No VIN yet, so maybe tomorrow night?
