    Software Features after MCU2 upgrade

Is there anyway to tell why some new features in the updates dont work with MCU2 after upgrading from MCU1. I tried to enable that rainbow display on autopilot and it doesnt work even though I can enable it in the settings screen. I've noticed other things as well but can't remember the other...

Still an issue for me. I have an SC appointment Friday for it. Fingers crossed.

Switching from wifi to 3g unreliable

Is there a legitimate answer to this future obsolescence? I mean doesn't the car kind of rely on connectivity?

    Tablet Mount in MS?

Anyone have any ideas about tablet mounts in our Model S's? I've been racking my brain trying different things like modifying a tablet holder to fit in the lower center console front. It looks terrible though.Has anyone else tried this?

    Whats new with 2020.20.1

I noticed that as well. It loses the lane lines WAY more often than before 20.1. It also drifts side to side alot more. I am less comfortable with AP now more than ever before.

TeslaMate: Yet another self-hosted data logger for your Tesla

I was told that the Stream API gave more accurate data because the polling timeframe was shorter (its normally 3 seconds or more). So far its only caused me problems where I keep getting timeouts; so I turned it off.

    AP1 ONLY Please -- life after 2018.50.6

Can someone validate this browser "feature" for me. 1. Fiddle with browser until it freezes. 2. Using voice command say "Google test" 3. See if the browser suddenly pops back to life. So far its worked for my 2016 MCU1/AP1 every time. I also found that browsing via voice command works fairly...

    My 2016 Tesla Model S 75D story - purchased June 2019

Teslamate accesses the car data directly via the Tesla API. So its pulling what the car reports. I've never seen anything above 309kw since it was uncorked. I asked the SC to double check the uncork setting since there have been a couple updates since then and they verified it was set. Now I'm...

    My 2016 Tesla Model S 75D story - purchased June 2019

Gotcha. Im using Teslamate and it does pretty good. Although I have to wait until I get home to seem car data (local network install). I had my 2016 75D uncorked in Jan and Im trying to figure out what the max Kw i should be seeing (a range anyway). So far I havent seen anything higher than...

    My 2016 Tesla Model S 75D story - purchased June 2019

Have you collected any data on your "corked" 0-60 runs (time, max Kw, etc)? Something to compare before and after?

    AP1 ONLY Please -- life after 2018.50.6

When did AP1/HW1 TACC allow us to set speed to zero? I thought it was minimum of 20 or 25MPH. Today I just tried it for a laugh and when i held the stalk down with TACC on it went to 0 and stopped the car. Then I increased the set speed with the stalk and the car started back up. I never touched...

    AP v1

I couldn't agree more. Honestly AP1 is 95% of what I need already. The only thing I'd like to see added is the navigation part.

    AP v1

Got my 2016 Model S 75D in Dec last year (AP1/MCU1). Get ready to have fun driving/riding. I'm still in the honeymoon phase and its gonna be a long honeymoon. :) From all the research I've done, AP1 to AP2 is not that big of a difference... yet :) There a hardware difference in cameras so no...

Are they going to try and charge for autopilot?

I see it too for my 2016 75D purchased in December.

Am I calculating my battery capacity correctly?

    My 2016 75D is at about 95% of original rated battery/range/capacity. 243 miles projected ~71kW @ 100% charge

    TeslaFi vs TeslaMate

Im now using TeslaMate and trying to get a better understanding of the data. My driving efficiency seems to be poor and I'm not quite sure what to do to change that. Any ideas on how to improve my numbers or are they common.

    Autopilot Brake Usage

Thanks everyone... So my theory was that using autopilot in town regularly (daily driver like) was significantly increasing the brake usage over a human driver in the same traffic conditions and therefore brake wear is increased along with brake maintenance frequency/cost. That's a good enough...

    Autopilot Brake Usage

I've see the lights come on when I use regen to slow the car with no brakes so I don't know if that's a good indicator. I know it has to use physical brake at times, I guess I'm wondering if its smart enough to calculate the regen effectiveness either preemptively or real-time to only use the...

    Autopilot Brake Usage

Does anyone know if autopilot is smart enough to use regen to stop or does it use more brakes? I know I dont use brakes much with regen. Is AP smart enough to do that as well.

    Can’t stop charging

I see the same behavior the only way to get it to stop is to press the unlock button. I dont know how safe that is though.
