New Cornwall charging hub, Summercourt, near Newquay

Good question, they are charging over 200 buses daily on Heliox units across the UK, but the compatibility testing will be key to reliability. Some good options for Tesla drivers, others not so much.

New Cornwall charging hub, Summercourt, near Newquay

First Bus has announced its investment in a state-of-the-art consumer electric vehicle (EV) charging hub at its Summercourt depot in Cornwall. This move by the bus industry will provide direct access to rapid electric charging infrastructure for electric cars and vans, making it the first of its...

Crossing to France from UK (MYLR)

Just what we did, whilst queueing to get off the ferry - the work of seconds. Emovis toll tag worked a treat. Beware - ordered our LEZ sticker about four weeks ago and still waiting for it to arrive.

I was at Tebay on Tuesday evening and there was 9 cars in front of me queueing to charge, at just after 9pm. It took an hour to chug through them before we could charge. A guy in a model S was saying the queue was 3 hours long at one point so as he was down to 3% on arrival, he just parked up...

Calling in there tomorrow, doing Kinross - Cockermouth - Chorley for family visits, Gretna makes the most sense to stop at, just hoping for a quieter day on the chargers. The M6 north of Cheshire and all the way to Glasgow on the M74 does really need a bit of an upgrade supercharger wise.

Range with Bike / Cycle rack fitted on tow bar / hitch

Got 250 miles on fast cross country roads in Scotland (including Glencoe) with two bikes on the tow bar and two relatively big kids bikes with wheels removed in the boot. 276 wh/mi which I thought was not too bad.

Unpleasant Experience nearly running out of charge on M6

The M3 does do this, if you either tap on the style of satnav on the top left of the screen, one of the modes is the entire route which shows the estimated state of charge at the end of the journey or if you did a round trip back to your current point. It will also do this if you drag down on...

Setting of on North Coast 500

Yes, regrettably I have experienced exactly the same issue. I have never been able to get a charge out of Kinross P&R in the 3 despite no issues with our i3. Also couldn’t get anything out of the Real Food Cafe at Tyndrum rapid charger yesterday, but the one at Glencoe thankfully worked fine...

Opinions wanted for my second car

I realise beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, but I think our i3 looks great. Such an innovative, relatively roomy, lightweight, small and fun to drive little electric car has no comparison, except perhaps the Honda E. My wife loves hers and it copes with the two kids and our...

Is my wheel arch paint normal?

Loving my M3 LR and after three months have already clocked up 6,000 miles, but with only three supercharge sessions. After hand washing today I noticed the ares to the lower sill immediately behind the front wheel and the same height immediately behind the rear wheels seems to have changed...

    Long Range... Well not really

Depends! Since getting the car on the 18th December I am averaging 312 wh/mile, so on a full charge 230 miles. But this is the worst time of the year, I commute on Scottish motorways or fast A roads, I only condition one way and don’t really hang about. With the temps improving the consumption...

TeslaFi Maps - must get out more

Looking at my lifetime maps, which I regret starting until about a week after some serious Christmas family mileage to the north of England, it looks like I have a real south west - north east Scotland bias, nothing north west to south east!
