Tesla forced to open superchargers to unlock billions

They tried to get the NACS approved from onset but other automakers just laughed at them. They tried hard to get legacy automakers to get on board and use the same charging standard before the first superchargers rolled out. Better late than never I suppose. The rest can play catch up now and...

    Cabin Camera Field of View

Not normal. In mine, I can see the headrest. Recommend putting in a ticket with Tesla.

    Stolen key card

Tranquil Rage posted the link some posts back if you'd like to scroll up. Otherwise, I reposted it here: https://shop.tesla.com/product/model-3_y-key-card

Guessing you've already tried a hard reset?

ONLY FOR USERS WITH 98/99 NEW FSD

Got it yesterday sometime around 10AM EST. So far tons of phantom braking, to the point the wife will not let me drive with it enabled while she's in the car tomorrow. I was so excited to show our parents but until this is fixed, they will have to settle for the new graphics.

Search TMC forums for the updated APK to manually install it on your android. You may need to use APK mirror if you don't have an app that can unlack and install.

Back seat cover for dogs in Model 3?

Lots of researching and experience from using other covers finally led to these two (which I currently use now and am pretty satisfied): URPOWER Upgraded Dog Seat Covers... Amazon.com Car Door Protector – Pet Dog Car... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XY8WPFX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Clunking noise in dashboard for a minute after getting in the car

Mine was from a bad ventilation motor or servo (moves the vent tube) on the driver's side which Tesla Service was able to replace. Hope that helps.

Used dealers DO NOT understand Teslas

No, the acceleration/performance boost which costs 2 grand is only available on the AWD long range version. People should really check what they post.

    Tesla Model 3 Roof shades.

The ones posted by OP has a grey layer that you can put on which makes it a blackout cover. I had it on over the screen for a while but then removed it to let some light in but it's good to keep on if you want it to not let sunlight through. For the lower part of the rear windshield, I used...

    Tesla Model 3 Roof shades.

TESMAT has a decent privacy screen for $55. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0096/2546/8991/products/privacyscreenformodel3-squashed.jpg?v=1575443486 I also have the same shades as the ones OP posted. Good quality and easy to install.

8 Years with a Tesla Model 3 (at 15k/yr, at least)

No worries. At the end of your lease, you'll be poised to receive your Tesla Cybertruck (presuming you've reserved one early enough and are still going through with the purchase)

Need help ordering my M3 Performance..!!!

Maybe with your delivery pushed back to Dec, you'll get the upgrade USB C charging ports and also the auto trunk. No known dates on when these changes and the chrome delete are supposed to take place.

    Uses for the Frunk

Solution: Install Auto Frunk or weaker spring in the latching mechanism; YouTube video out there to show you exact size spring to purchase for a few bucks and how to install it. If you can't find it, reach out and I'll send you a photo of the packaging I bought from Lowes for the spring...

Anyone else going to trade their Model 3 for Cybertruck?

They are just jealous. Don't let it get to you. Now you can laugh at them as the Cybertruck has over 700K reservations. Elon stated that the Cybertruck isn't for everyone so if they still don't like it, who cares.

    HANSSHOW Trunk Liftgate v3 install

Yes, the frunk did not close all the way, I had to enlarge the brackets and mess with the latching mechanism until the hood was perfectly aligned when closed. I took the brackets off of the car before and after work to file the holes by hand. For the trunk, snaking the wires through the loom...

    HANSSHOW Trunk Liftgate v3 install

Took me 10hrs on the frunk and 5hrs on the truck. I'm not sure which version I have but at least yours came with instructions. I had to use some videos online and WhatsApp their customer service for help and the manuals. Hit me up if you guys have questions on the install.

AC full speed bug when Fallout Shelter freezes

I've experienced this as well. The game isn't all that enticing so you may not even miss it. Maybe with the following update of allowing the side repeaters to come on when we have our turn signal engaged will also fix this bug.

MASTER THREAD: Powering house or other things with Model 3

I heard about this capability being tested on a small scale in the UK. Hopefully it gains traction and will be common in this decade.

    Performance Waiting Room

Couldn't agree more! Plus people don't buy a performance car to drive it easy. Let it go and live a little. Highway driving at 80mph (almost mandatory it seems in Florida) will cut through range pretty quick. I get about 150 miles when going from 90% to 30% at that speed. City driving with a...

    Performance Waiting Room

Congratulations--just barely made it! You're gonna love punching it at almost all of the red lights, given no one is in front of you. It's such a strange feeling to look through the mirrors and see as though the other cars are standing still.
  24. Hyperion M3P-

    Performance Waiting Room

Well that's a real shame as I was told the carbon fiber spoiler, larger brakes, larger wheels, car being lowered by 1", and the red line under the dual motors badge were the only differences between the M3P and M3P-. My Tesla Advisor also stated I wouldn't get track mode either but then a few...

    Performance Waiting Room

The performance sleepers are supposed to go up to 162 mph max speed. Now you've got me curious as I've not taken mine to an airstrip or dragstrip to do serious testing.

    Model 3 Performance vs Model S 75D

Also consider the battery tech. Model 3 has the new cells with lower colbalt composition and the pack has better thermal management (continuously maintaining higher performance on demand).

Model 3 7 day return and auto park

I believe settings can go down to less than a foot all around but yes, in actuality, it is extremely conservative.
