Changing email address for single Tesla when multiple vehicles associated with account

Appreciate the reply - she is currently an additional driver on the vehicle already. She want's to be primary so she can see all the things the primary can (like charging stats) and probably so I don't have any control of the vehicle controls moving forward. I am trying to figure out if she can...

Changing email address for single Tesla when multiple vehicles associated with account

Hi guys - I haven't been able to get a straight/clear answer from Tesla so I wanted to see if anyone here has experience with this. I have 2019 Tesla Model 3 Performance and 2020 Tesla Model X Long Range. The Model X has free unlimited supercharging, which will not transfer to a new owner. Both...

Optimum Protectant Plus - White Interior

Have used it for several years on my 2019 Model 3P and 2020 Model XLR white seats. It works great to reduce abrasion, stains, etc. for a couple weeks. Absolutely no problem using this on the Tesla Vegan "Leather" in white or black.

    Options for rear bumper valence?

Hi all: GF is getting a '23 MYP this quarter. She ended up ordering white and is now a little upset because she isn't happy with the level of contrast from the black plastic lower rear bumper fascia vs. the white paint. I let her know that this contrast exists regardless of the color. So, I am...

Tesla white seats strange pattern on seat?

I assume he is referring to the "stretch marks" on the lower side bolster. These unfortunately seem to be "normal" with use but use of a good seat cleaner can make them much less visible. You can try to continue complaining and escalating the problem - it might help but I wouldn't be all that...

M3P Comprehensive Brake Pad Option list

Thank you so much for starting this list! Wow - didn't realize the OEM pads were so expensive. Does anyone know the material (traditional semi-metallic?) used in the OEM pads? If I ever switched, I wouldn't mind a lower dusting pad for street use...of course need something with more bite for...

IKON Motorsports Front Lip for Model 3: A Review

Ikon sells a cheap kit with stuff that might help you. https://www.ebay.com/itm/391706776999 You basically NEED to use screws or some other 'permanent' method of fastening the lip. 3M tape with promoter is great to further strengthen things, but don't solely use it unless you are okay losing...

22 Inch Satin Black Model X Wheels

    PPF Prep?

You need to get the car very clean and then claybar (or clay mitt) the paint at a minimum. Then, under VERY good lighting (sunlight, gas station lights, etc.) look the paint closely for imperfections, swirls, scratches, marring, etc. It is there. If it is enough to bother you before PPF, you...

    BO Smell Embedded In Seat

Great episode and show! Anyways, by "soak" I hope you meant you ran the ozone machine for <1 hour and then just left the windows and what not closed? Not ran the machine that long..... Another good trick is to, after doing the above, is to turn the recirc mode on in the car (not sure about the...

    BO Smell Embedded In Seat

You sure it is just in the seat(s)? Maybe also in the armrest, seat belt, etc? Could it be in the headliner or other surfaces? My deep cleaning routine typically involves spraying diluted all purpose cleaner (Optimum Power Clean 1:10 but maybe a little stronger in this case?) on the seats...

Good price on PPF + ceramic

A lot of it depends on the prep work required as well as the work quality and pricing strategy of the vendor. To me, it seems pretty expensive though! Partial PPF with XPEL or Suntek premium is typically around $1300-$1700 around here. Ceramic coating price has massive variability (prep, CC...

    PPF, Ceramic Coating, Tinting

Umm...not sure I track. Partial PPF (front bumper, hood, front quarter panels, mirrors) is <$1500 with high-quality PPF. A repaint on those panels, if necessary, will be more costly than $1500 and can lead to other problems (like overspray or overall de-valuation). I think the real question is...

I also use ONR regularly but will do a full foam and soap/bucket wash every couple weeks. If the "butt" of my car has a nice layer of dust/dirt, which is frequently accumulates, I will rinse that area down (regular hose, no pressure washer needed) with water before doing an ONR wash. Its a...

    Small chip in uberturbine

No, not at all. I'm talking about independent wheel repair specialists. It sounds like your issue lends itself well to a mobile repair that wont require even dismounting the wheel/tire from the vehicle. https://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=mobile+wheel+repair&find_loc=Chicago%2C+IL

    Small chip in uberturbine

Best thing to do is to try and clean up the chip area with a small nub of sandpaper, dab some body filler in there and then sand smooth when it dries. Then you need to find a touch-up paint that you believe matches the finish best. Alternative would be to find a wheel repair specialist (mobile...

Model 3 Steering Wheel–Vegan Leather Wear

I only have 15K miles on my model 3 and take effort to wash my hands before I use my car if possible. So, I can't speak to a 3+ year old wheel with many many hours of use. Best advice I can provide to reduce wear on synthetic or real leather steering wheels is to avoid wearing rings or other...

    Model X 20" - wheel spacers?

Hi all: I find that the 20" slipstream wheels tuck into the wheel wells a bit too far and could probably benefit from a reasonable size spacer in the rear and small one in the front. I am having trouble finding guidance on this. Has anyone here added spacers to the 20" wheels on their model...

Shoot- no idea where the order info is at this point but here are some pictures of the mats (I just cleaned them with soap and water prior drying for this picture). Vendor We're the makers of 3D MAXpider KAGU Floor Mats.

@3DMatsUSA Any tips for "reviving" 3D Kagu mats that have suffered some wear from hard soled shoes? My driver's side matt looks okay but not great due to wear/scuffs on the surface. It is basically a less dark, rich color than the other mats now. I've cleaned the mats and applied 303 Aerospace...

Rust in centre hub of new Model 3

The other thing I'd recommend you do is use a dryer (like a master blaster, metrovac, air compressor, leaf blower, etc.) to dry your wheels/etc after washing. Looks like you are getting some water pooling behind the cap so you want to blow as much of it out during the drying process.

Rust in centre hub of new Model 3

hub rust is normal but it does appear like you have a little more than expected. If it really bothers you, use a wire brush to clean the area and existing surface rust and then apply naval jelly or similar. You can also clean the area and paint with a rust-retarding product. But in the end...

Model X on 21" Wheels? Has anyone tried this yet? (OEM or Aftermarket)

I've done some reading after I posted the question above. I think the primary variables are load rating of the 21" Tesla wheels (aka who knows) on the heavy model X as well as challenges in matching the wheel/tire outer diameter vs. the stock specs. As I have personally experienced on my model...

IKON Motorsports Front Lip for Model 3: A Review

Vorsteiner one is a bit too much for me personally. Dont expect any benefit (or significant degradation either) from a front lip spoiler. Model X on 21" Wheels? Has anyone tried this yet? (OEM or Aftermarket)

Sorry guys to revive this but just looking for a definitive answer. Can the model S 21" turbines (staggered) be used as-is on the model X? I have both 20" as well as 22" now for the X but thinking 21" might be a happier medium and OEM wheels (or OEM look) seem to be optimal for me.

IKON Motorsports Front Lip for Model 3: A Review

Thank you for posting! I ended up installing the glossy CF version and didn't bother wrapping to get a matte effect -- it wasn't worth it based on the cost. I like the way the matte looks! Regarding fitment, I don't see any difference in fitment between glossy and matte from the pictures...

    Detailing Product Recommendations

Hehe, i loved Zaino back in the day. I probably layered like 50 coats of Z2 or Z5 on over time. Car looked great...of course. OP -- ONR is a great start. But you need some protection on there. I have 20" FF01 gloss black on my model 3. The fronts I think are pretty much perfect in terms of being flush however the rears were a little sunk in. I hate to admit it but I am using small (5mm) spacers on my rear wheels -- looks much better!

    Steering Wheel, Real Leather?

Simple, and I personally do not apply any protectant to the leather steering wheels in my car. All you need to do to ensure the steering wheel cover stays in great shape are: Don't wear jewelry on your hands/fingers that can contact/scuff/scratch the steering wheel. Wash your hands before you...

I use the BRS for my ONR washes. In addition to all the slotted segments, it is soft enough to maneuver around and fit in tight areas like behind door handles, grills, around mirrors, etc. No issue at all. I've been using the BRS for >2 years and it is has been through the wash cycle in my...

    Maxton Design Diffuser: Kpeng Improved

I get it, but even with adhesive around the perimeter gunk is going to find its way in there. With just expanding fasteners, you can easily take it off a couple times a year to allow a cleaning.
