I just completed this trip on Monday in a brand new LR AWD model Y... it was a close one. We had been driving for 12 hours by the time we reached Amarillo at 9pm, and in hindsight we should have stopped there for the night, but we already had a reservation in Raton, so we pushed on. We left...

2nd vote for westbound and down, and the two brothers deli, they also serve fast, and have great organic menu with vegan options. They are all full of snow right now, but there are some great short hikes that go uphill on both sides of 103 to various lookouts, and could be done in 30-40 minutes...

I talked to the gas station attendant, she said a Tesla engineer was here doing "finals" today, she doesn't know if it is open to the public yet. Someone needs to come test it!

The supercharger is operational! Lights are on and a model 3 is charging!

Yep... I just went by and it appears every stall has cabling pulled through its conduit, with 3 stalls looking like they have been fully connected.

The gas station manager said that their goal is operation before the end of the month... Friday might be cutting it too tight:)

Work ongoing today.. the last two cabinets have been installed and it looks like wire is being pulled to some of the stalls. Tesla employees on site too, maybe starting commissioning? I am going to go take photos after they end work for the day.

It might be... I don't know how long a location takes to commission after installation is complete, but half of the pylons were installed today, and the installation team seems geared up to get the rest done tomorrow.

At 8:15am workers were already present... One was starting the boom lift and another was stripping the protective waterproofing from the top of the charging pylons base closest to the cabinets.

Update: I was out for a late night walk, and there is action in the lot. It is completely roped off, a number of large pallets have been delivered, and electricians trailers are present. I'm going back in the morning to take pictures.
