    V11 backup camera laggy

I just noticed the problem yesterday. Maybe it has been there ever since the v11 update, but I was so annoyed by the other interface changes that I didn't pay attention to the camera image lag until now. It seems to be worse for the main rear view image than they side rear cameras.

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I'm sorry to hear you didn't have any luck with the service center. I had that same experience and I'm still in the same position as you. Assuming it's not just the hatch buffeting that's bothering you, there isn't an easy fix. You could try getting different tires, and that might help you...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I am going to try to lower the tire pressure a bit more. There was a note on some tire site that said you had to maintain at least 42 psi to maintain the load rating. But I'm sure I will be fine a bit lower. The Bellevue service center was the one that didn't have enough rough roads nearby...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

@coselectric I'm glad to hear that you have reduced the booming so significantly. I have made similar stop adjustments to yours to prevent the buffeting, although I think the buffeting was never the real issue for me. The problem I am still having is the booming as it was not reduced much (to...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I thought I would post an update on my quest to solve this problem. I got the Y back from the Tesla service center about two weeks ago now, and as expected they didn't do anything to fix the pressure/booming problem. I can't really blame them, as they aren't set up to diagnose these kinds of...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

Now you have me thinking about the rear casting. I haven't been tracking that single-piece rear casting topic because it wasn't that interesting to me. But what if that's related to this problem. It sounds like others have been dealing with the issue from a while back, but maybe it got worse...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I really hope the new 3s don't have the same problem. If they do, then I will be shopping for a used Model 3. I don't think it's a heat pump issue because I did a car campout with my son and we slept in the back of the Y with the heat running all night and I didn't have any problems. It...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I just dropped my Y off at the service center. One of their service guys took a ride with me too see if he could hear/feel this ear pain issue that I am having. We drove over some rough spots and he didn't think he was hearing anything different than what he hears in all the Model Ys. That...

I see so many model Y owners having issues. Would you buy again?

Ok, here is my longer explanation. First of all, I'm experiencing issues with ear pain/pressure related to some kind of booming resonance or buffeting when I drive over even moderately rough roads in the Y. I don't know if this is a defect with my particular car, or a design issue with all...

I see so many model Y owners having issues. Would you buy again?

I'm a couple weeks into Model Y ownership, and at the moment I would not buy this car again. I traded-in a Model 3, and I would definitely get that car again. In fact, I might just get rid of my Y, and go back to the 3. My Model S was also an amazing car, but you have to like bigger cars.

    Ear pain/Pressure help

@Pianewman I'm glad you are still working on finding a solution to this problem. I just drove around without the floorboards as well, and it didn't make any difference with that low-frequency booming for me either. While I had those to floorboards off, I tried thumping around the area and...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

That's an interesting observation. We don't have a dog to help test that out, but I did notice that the subwoofer in the audio system sounds way boomier to me than the one our Model 3, even after I tried to adjust the sound. Maybe this is all related. I'm glad the problem has mostly gone away...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I'm afraid I have to add myself to the list of people experiencing this ear pressure/pain while driving the Model Y. We took a quick 10 mile drive right after the car was delivered last week, and I noticed it right away. It was so distracting that I couldn't even focus on evaluating the...

    Former Model 3 Owners

We just traded-in our 3 after two years and got the Y delivered a couple of days ago. I miss driving the 3. The Y is more practical for cargo space, which is why we got it. We did some long road trips in the 3 for our family of 4 and we definitely had to leave behind some luggage and food...

Dreamcase for Model S fits in Model Y

I think that's as flat as the seats can lay down, but it should flatten out more when you are laying on top of it. In the Model S, you are supposed to use the case of the Dreamcase under the mattress to even out the hump. Since there isn't really much of a hump in the Model Y, I haven't tried...

Dreamcase for Model S fits in Model Y

Some of you that own a Model S might have purchased a Dreamcase for it. And now maybe you are thinking about buying a Model Y and are wondering if that old Dreamcase would work. I just tested that out, and the answer is - sort of. The mattress itself fits really well, but the support for the...

Are Tesla Trade In Offer Negotiable?

Oh, I live in Seattle now. I should update my profile. There was definitely a big sales tax savings for me here.

Are Tesla Trade In Offer Negotiable?

Tesla's trade-in values are all over the place, and generally very low as others have mentioned. I sold a Model S last month, and Tesla's offer was incredibly low. Shift offered 3k more, so I went with them. One upside to trading-in with Tesla (aside from the sales tax benefit) is that they...
