I am afraid they may use the same tactics for the 35k M3 and keep us waiting... We will get an email to configure the Y with available options and current prices or wait for the RWD that will come in the future... Many will pay extra to get the car... some will be on the waiting list forever...

There are other details that aren't a big deal but just annoying: ordered the RWD model Y for my wife and chose to upgrade the wheels just because she doesn't like the dark color of the original aero wheels available at the time. But now we got upgraded to the black induction wheels and cant...

I went to a Tesla store today and asked about RWD orders. They were honest and said they have no official info at this time. They think information will be available after production begins. They think RWD orders will be fulfilled but probably late 2021... I know this is all speculation but...

I know Tesla can make changes that may affect what we pre-ordered, fine. But it is unbelievable that this was not planned in advance. Why offer it, take all these orders and then just remove it and leave us in the dark? I just ordered it the night before it was removed, so no big deal for me...
