I had my PCS unit replaced today (still under warranty) after I noticed that my Long Range M3 would only charge at 32 amps on a three phase charger. I feel for all the standard range owners who won't know that they have a problem until their second controller fails.

Thanks everyone. I can confirm that cutting 11 mm off the smaller plug that plugs into the EVSE allows a type 2 to type 2 charging cable to also work as an extension lead for when one is ICED. Don't unplug the cables without first turning off the power flowing through them.

Thanks Rocky and Randy. My guess is that our mobile connector is not 3 phase and is therefore most likely limited to 32 amps. The emporia sounds like the Zappi but is 48 amps, unlike the excellent Zappi.

I installed a fused 12 volt socket in my Model 3's frunk directly off the car's 12 volt battery to run a small car fridge. Can anyone tell me if the 12 volt battery will charge off the traction battery when the car is not running? The fridge draws 30 watts.
