Catching up on this thread... I sold my 3 with FSD and want to get it on my new S. I was planning on doing the late night 100mi drive and park it in the garage for a week trick, but are they not letting anyone in right now? Also is 98 still the cutoff score? Thanks!

Mine looks kinda precut, which is an improvement over the hacksaw jobs I saw on earlier builds, but it's def not stellar.

I have the new headlights in my new S, and at least compared to the 2020 Model 3, they are so much better... like the best I have ever seen better.

In my 3 (and will be the case in my new S I am getting in an hour) you lose the "bouncing" with losing radar. When the car can see a car ahead, it shows it. When it can't see it, it goes away. Sometimes with the FSD beta, the car seems to "infer" the lead vehicle from memory and that will happen...

I’m pretty sure they should come with them. I’d call the general support number or just put in a service ticket and they can mail them. If they don’t come with them, that’s a brand new change. They historically have always come with those covers and parcel shelf.

There's a lot under the hood for charging hardware different, that is primary reason it isn't retrofittable.

I got my VIN (not plaid) and delivery date of Saturday. For y’alls plaids you should be getting them soon. I waited over a year. I think 0-2 months is what’s you’d be looking at unless you’re in an uncommon area.

Just found this thread. 1143 LR/Red/White/19/FSD that was on hold till a week-ish ago. Soft match is currently scheduled for today, EDD range of today to the 18th.

I'd disregard unsubstantiated comments from SAs like that. Unfortunately the majority of them know about as much as anyone on this forum.

The tool Tesla uses to calculate EDDs sometimes will default you to an EDD as if you had placed the order just as the calculation is run. So if you get a date that's way out, I'd just give it a few more days before taking it seriously. :)

It will probably reset in a few days. The order estimator has a tendency of resetting to if you had placed the order today. Check back in 3-5 days and it should go back. :)

Hope someone else has found a solve to this before. (Mainly posting to bump your thread) Its a tough one and you will probably have to escalate with Tesla to get this resolved.

Soft match is an internal date (your SA can access it and tell you) for when you are projected to be matched to a VIN.

Your car body will probably be on the same paint batch in the factory line as mine, and my soft match is March 8. If your order details are all filled in, I'd expect a VIN next week.

I wouldn't worry about this. The radar will be disabled sometime this year anyway with a software update. FSD (and I think non-FSD Vision cars) TACC is 90 MPH but yes autosteer is 80MPH for now.

Depends on the config you ordered. It sounds like you are working with a decent SA. Ask them what configs aren’t in inventory around your location and consider changing your spec to them. That will put you back of line but it’s a plaid so I don’t think that would be long. When did you place...

You are giving up radar either way in this case, it will be disabled in a coming update. So it isn't a deciding factor. :) FWIW my radar has been off for months now (with FSD) and it's fine. The only thing that's left for me that's annoying is a slight delay catching up to accelerating traffic...

Airbag horn in existing cars is new to me, I had previously understood that it was coming later this year with a few other things.

Pretty sure they put them on when the temp plate comes. :) In my local delivery center at least a few years ago there was literally a huge box of them.

As far as I understand those have been standard for years. I'd talk to your local delivery center about it and get one.

It will look more like the compromise it is when body colored than intentionally different (black).

Happy to see they went with black... they were going back and forth on this up until the last minute.

I might leave them alone to be honest unless I see something amazing non-oem. I wanted ride comfort maximized which is why I went with default wheels. I hated the way they looked online but in person I don't mind them nearly as much.
