I picked up my new Model Y today (manufactured in July 2023 at the Fremont plant). It has HW4 and I was assured all new Model Y have HW4.

It appears "the next update" didn't help. I got this for the first time today. Scheduled a service appointment (12 days and 22 miles away) but hoping an update will fix it sooner. Has anybody found a way to deal with this that doesn't involve waiting for the next update?

Waiting to see what happens. My safety score got driven down by 4 points over the last month by what the mobile service tech this morning believed was a sensor issue. He suggested optting out and back in again. I opted out this morning but the safety score hasn't disappeared from the app yet.

I agree with your preference (I have a 3- month old 3 and zero regrets), but this really is a matter of personal preference. I don't think there's much to go on objectively to say one is better than the other.
