3 years on, I have decided to move on from my beloved X

With our 2nd set of twins arriving I needed something bigger too. I feel OP as I had a hard time too choosing between the MX and X7. Rented multiple MX’s for extended periods as I really wanted to like them but ended up with an X7 M50i and not regretting one bit. I think Tesla’s are amazing...

    Tesla MX vs. ???

Yeah, I've rented the 7-seater before with the "old" style seats and was surprised how much could fit in the interior. X-Rack def seems like a good alternative to a roof rack. Wonder how easy it is to access the trunk and being able to take in/out large items (e.g. strollers) with it attached?

    Tesla MX vs. ???

We are actually looking to decide between 6 seater MX/X7 OR just go Suburban/YukonXL. Our issue is we just added a 2nd set of twins to our family so 4 kids (no dogs though thank god!) and I‘m having the same concern how much stuff we can fit in either the MX or X7. If we go with MX I imagine we...

Need help from 6 seater owners -- took delivery yesterday

Thanks, that’s somewhat of a consolation but still not sure if I can live with my kids secured by flimsy seat belts... even though when/where I grew up we didn’t even have seat belts, let alone child seats!

PS: Could anyone tell if the third row at least has anchors behind the seats?

Need help from 6 seater owners -- took delivery yesterday

Wow, thanks for posting and good to know. We were planning to order an X later this year but having toddler twins and another set on the way this is probably a dealbreaker. We even specifically rented an X last year to test out all car seat compatibility. I can’t believe they would remove this...

    Powerwall capacity not utilized?

When talking to Tesla, they had me reset the breakers - both where ON though so that's probably not it. After their "24 hour monitor" they confirmed that battery isn't working properly so it's been escalated to 2nd line support. They supposed to get back in 3-5 business days so here's hoping...

    Powerwall capacity not utilized?

Oh wow. That does sound very similar to my issue - thanks for sharing! How long did you have to wait for PW replacement? Unlike some here, my install was surprisingly quick (ordered solar in Oct, install in Dec and was able to add PWs a week before install date).

    Powerwall capacity not utilized?

Seems like my suspicions are more or less confirmed - thanks everyone for chiming in. I’m curious to what Tesla comes back with after their “24 hour test”, will update here.

    Powerwall capacity not utilized?

So in the morning, last few days it’s been 34-33% (because I have 35% reserve set). As you can see, at some point in the middle of the night it hits 35% and starts drawing from grid. I read somewhere that keeping at 35%-50% charge prolongs battery life and with my usage and having 2 PWs, I...

    Powerwall capacity not utilized?

Self powered, played with different settings but had it on 35% reserve for last few days. Don’t have an EV, I think the most it has drawn is maybe 5.5 when dryer is running at night so maybe both are working but not 100%? Decided to give Tesla a a call and they said I have a “low power” issue...

    Powerwall capacity not utilized?

PS I have backup set to 35% so I understand that’s what it’s keeping as a reserve but shouldn’t it still be at least 26Kw capacity x 0.65 x 0.8 (to account for 10% loss each way) = 13.52 Kw

    Powerwall capacity not utilized?

Had 7kW solar and 2 power walls installed in December and have been monitoring use from the Tesla app but it seems like we’re only getting 1 Powerwall to charge and discharge. Is that possible?? I’m by no means an expert but back of the napkin makes it seem that we should be able to run off grid...
