Well SPY usually doesn't move that much (compared to individual stocks) so I don't think I'd be in the hole for too much if it goes up. Plus, if it goes up, usually TSLA goes up 3-4x more. I'd just be hedging against a wider market crash. How else would you hedge against coronavirus?

There's a decent chance the coronavirus stays with us. It is a single-stranded RNA virus, similar to influenza, and has a higher likelihood of mutation. So even with vaccinations, we may get new strains of the virus each year.

Well,U CAD has increased from 1.32 to 1.34. If I was profiting, yes that would be fantastic but since I have losses, it increases them.

Okay thanks. Well, to be clear, I'm not a care bear, just worried about the losses. I'm sure it'll turn around eventually. As a Canadian, the USD losses are amplified even more with the stronger USD.

TSLA opened at 0% in Frankfurt. Yet Amazon (+1.6%), Facebook (+2.3%) and Apple (+1.1%) all opened higher. Hopefully this doesn't foreshadow another rough trading day. I'd be happy with 0% after yesterday.

Lol well I just bought into TSLA in the 900's so I'm probably a bit more nervous than most here.

Markets are down everywhere. DOW futures are down 1.5%, Hang Seng down 1.9=8% and Kospi down 3.5%. Yikes. Hope this doesn't affect TSLA too much.
