Is there any difference between Pilot Sport 4 and Pilot Sport 4 acoustic tyres?

I got my SR+ on the same day you got yours. I have done 28,000 miles and am looking at possibly getting Cross Climate 2 wheels to replace the original PS4s.

Wiki UK and Ireland Supercharger Site News

It is going to be 24/7, but I don’t know if that’s the case at the moment. I did my first charge at Cardiff just now: arrived with 45% and it peaked at 55kW, dropping to 35kW at 75%. Room for improvement, for sure!

Cardiff Superchargers are almost good to go. Maybe this Friday!

That’s great news! I know Tesla are very keen to get the Service Centre up and running because Bristol SC cannot cope with covering such a large region.

Have you ever kerbed your Aero wheels?

For fudge sake! I was one of the smug, “no never” voters last week but I have gone and done the front passenger rim. I have changed my vote. Karma!

I challenged the dragon (Wales).. and I lost!

In addition to the planned Superchargers in Builth Wells and Aberystwyth, a charger near Carmarthen would be ideal. It’s crazy that a trip to Portugal from Cardiff is easier, logistically, than one from Cardiff to west Wales, if you have a SR+.

    Average Wh/mi since owning?

M3SR+, 2,500 miles, 228 Wh/mile. Good mix of motorway, dual carriageway and town driving. Getting hooked on keeping the Wh/mile down, which is a bit sad!

I challenged the dragon (Wales).. and I lost!

The situation in Wales is very disappointing. Long before buying my M3 SR+ in March, I naively though that, when looking at the Tesla Supercharger map, that coming in 2019 meant exactly that, so I was looking forward to Superchargers already being in place for Aberystwyth, Builth Wells and north...

Some more issues... Rear doors, rant and windscreen issue

Sorry Blueskye, I missed your post. It doesn't seem like either of us are having much luck! Have you got to the bottom of the film on your windscreen? And have you spoken to Tesla about the outstanding issues? I still don't have my car - it's been with them since 3rd June. However, they have...

Some more issues... Rear doors, rant and windscreen issue

UPDATE I collected the car yesterday. What a relief! I thought the day would never come. We checked the car over and everything looked good, so headed-off home grinning with excitement. After just 2 miles the smiles were wiped from our faces - a warning sign appeared on the screen saying...

Some more issues... Rear doors, rant and windscreen issue

Just heard from the service centre: there’s a good chance I can pick it up to tomorrow. I’m not going to hold my breath though - it’s been 1 month and 2 days since I last saw it! I am also worried that they won’t have fixed everything. I don’t think I will sleep well tonight.

Good luck! Have they given you an estimate on how long it will take to fix all the issues?

Some more issues... Rear doors, rant and windscreen issue

Re. Who to speak to re. compensation: I asked about how to contact customer services as was told there isn’t one. Apparently, it is all handled in-house, so I would need to speak to the manager at the Service Centre. He was supposed to call me back last Tuesday but didn’t. I’m going to wait...

Some more issues... Rear doors, rant and windscreen issue

They gave me a 5 year old Model S. It’s fine for a week or 2 but I have no driveway and it doesn’t fit in my garage where I normally charge, nor does it fit in the bay at Tesco for Pod Point charging. Therefore, I have to go on a 50 mile round trip to charge it and it charges at 50kW max. The...

Some more issues... Rear doors, rant and windscreen issue

I feel your pain! I got my Model 3 SR+ in March. There was no QA on the car at all. There was a big dent in the passenger door, paint defect on the bumper, and huge, inconsistent panel gaps. The interior also had a deep gash in a side panel. Apparently, the dent was known about and occurred in...

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

This is my dilemma. Whilst I know it isn’t essential, they are very keen to get rid of the cars at Bristol because they have nowhere to store them. It’s their problem, but because it’s my car, it’s also my problem as well. I know that it is a no contact handover and that my wife can drive me...

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

I got a call about an hour ago from Bristol asking if I wanted to collect the car. I had previously said no to earlier texts as it was not essential. I reinterated that although I would love to collect (it’s just 30 miles away) I couldn’t claim that it was essential, so would wait it out until...

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

I noticed this too. I called Bristol and they assured me that my car was still mine and that the VIN must have disappeared only because I hadn’t accepted my appointment in the text they sent last night. They also “pinged” my car and confirmed that it had reached them. So near and yet so far!

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

I was due to pick up from Bristol on Thursday but replied NO to the latest text. I would have got a lift from my wife and could have done a contactless handover but felt it wouldn’t be right under these exceptional circumstances. I have been looking forward to getting a Tesla since the Model 3...

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

I’m due to pick up from Bristol on the 26th. Called them and asked if I could move the date forward but they said 26th was the earliest. I still haven’t got an invoice but have received all the emails and texts.

    Glovis Captain - Delivery text

Me too! However, I did get an email from Bristol, where I am due to collect on Thursday, giving me Tesla’s bank details and requesting payment. I called them and pointed out that they haven’t sent me an invoice yet, nor are their any documents in my Tesla account apart from the £100 booking...

Have Tesla offered to proactively match you with a similar spec. from existing inventory? There are sure to be a few cancellations for cars on the Glovis Captain.

    Glovis Captain - Delivery text

Ordered existing inventory on 17/2. I was told less than a week later that my car was in Southampton and that Bristol would be in touch to arrange pick-up. After another week I was told that my car was on the Glovis Captain, which had only just left San Francisco. Not sure what to believe any...

    2020 Shipping Movements

Me too! Ordered from existing inventory on 17/2. No communication from Tesla but when I phoned them they said my car was on the Glovis Captain. I hope to be collecting from Bristol.

    2020 Shipping Movements

My car is also on the Glovis Captain. If I take delivery of the car on 31st March as opposed to anytime in April, is it going to cost me 1 month’s worth of BiK at the current rate?

    2020 Shipping Movements

I think it was a genuine mistake as I got the car from existing inventory and the VIN hasn’t changed. I was gutted when Bristol told me not only was the car not available for pick-up, but that it was on a ship that hadn’t reached the Panama Canal yet!

I would be up for that as my first major trip will be from south Wales to north Portugal.

    Insurance Company ‘By Miles’

I tried to call them and online chat with them today. Not impressed. If they can’t man the sales phones or chat online then what’s the claims department like?

    2020 Shipping Movements

I spoke to Bristol Cribbs Causeway on Friday, and they said my car was on the Glovis Captain, which they expected to arrive on 20/03. Where that is, I don’t know, but I assume it’s Zeebrugge. Mind you, I called Tesla, on the 01628 number, around 7 days ago and was told my car was in...
